Very bad, not recommended at all!
I used to give my big tolerance to review one place, but not this time, not this place.
I was surprised with the attitude of their staff. Even though their staff use HT (handy talky) to communicate among each other, but in fact, it doesn't work. For example: I ordered one black coffee for hours. When I asked one of the staff, she showed the coffee was on the table, but already drank by other customer who ordered earlier. I complained to her, but she refused to accept my complaint and without asking any apologies to me. How come she served anything without doing check and recheck system??? How can she delivered the coffee wrongly and doesn't want to receive any complaints on it and WITHOUT asking any apologies at all. What kind of bad manner she has! Very bad and disappointed!
Another thing, they put meals in the rantang/three storey hamper. One rantang is for 3 customers. But if you see, the composition, the rice is very little, not enough for three people. So weird.
The last thing is the time availability. It's only for two hours. The first time they said that two hours is being counted from we arrive - sitting on our chair, but after arguing, they changed their mind, two hours is from the meals ready on the table. And another problem is the time from order and the meals arrive is a very long time to wait. If we want to ask for asking another hours in Ngopi di Sawah, the management said that we need to add another one million πππ
Ngopi di Sawah is located out of town, on the way to Puncak, Bogor. The way to reach this place is full with traffic jams. We are around 15 people came along to this place. We are from different places so we couldn't come altogether at the same time. Some of friends came a bit late, ordered food a bit late as well, but because of that 2 hours policy, the time is not counted from the last order but the first order, so my friends were having their meals in a hurry, because we don't want to crossing the time limit and we don't want to pay another one million for this silly policy.
Very very bad. Will be my first and last visit...
Β Β Β Read more2025 UPDATE They did made an improvement! Which is good, i did give 3β for a few thing i mentioned below. Now : there's no one way entry-out anymore! The parking lot is vast! They also expand their dining area and more paddy's field! Also a child playground with with mini zoo. Perfect? Almost! But i still have a few complaints This place called "ngopi di sawah" but seriously, the variants of fusion coffee are too few (only 3 in fact) the rest are common coffee beverages like latte, cappucino etc. Also, when you come with family at evening on weekdays and wanna order some set menu (like a one set for 5 people's menu), they probably are all sold out. Yah....efficiency i know, but still...kinda disappointing tho... The rest are, pretty much very well. Good job for being able to receive some critics ;)
2021 - Has a good nature environment? : check! Has a good management? : i don't think so.. Has a tasty food? : average i think Affordable price? : yeah so-so Has a good coffee? : quite good Is it crowded? : for now, YEAH and i mean..YEAH! MOST IMPORTANT WARNING : ONE WAY IN/OUT FOR ONE CAR!
Food taste are average, mie tek-tek is nice, fried rice is just okay. Coffee like kopi sawah is good and so it does with another beverages. Place/customer management? Quite chaotic in my opinion...need improvement so customers can order their food faster without confussion and waiting too long.
Is it reccomended? Yes if you come at the right time when it isn't crowded...but actually i might rather try to find another place that less crowded a little further up to the direction of...
Β Β Β Read moreThe title may be Coffee in the Rice Fields. But as interesting as coffee is, it is not the only highlight here. There are also fun snacks and full meals. So when you say "feast in the rice fields", you're not wrong. Because you can.
The place is easy to get into. It is practically on the side of the main road in the beginning of the 'puncak uphill track'. The parking lot is big. Even when it's full, there's always a hideout to slip your vehicle in. There are several spots to sit down. There are hut, joglo, cafe benches and terraces. The price of the menu is, in my opinion, very friendly. With the attractive theme, atmosphere and ambience they serve us. Worth every penny. Oh and the food tastes good too.
If you want to work on your laptop, you can stay. There are plenty of power sockets here. Or are you a photo addict? Enjoy your time. The rice field theme really makes for a nice background or landscape shot.
All in all, I like hanging out here. Just anticipate these: β’ Overcrowded situation at the weekend β’ Possible hardship our old fams would have, because the place is kinda stairy.
Tips: Sometimes the staff priority is to fill the down spots first. So you won't be directed to the top spots. I think the upper parts are better aesthetically. So if you are guided by the staff. Just ask for the top spot. Insist on it. Persuade them. Use your level 10 negotiating skills. .... Hypnosis...
