A horrible experience, we were told that we need to wait around an hour for 3 satay, which is okay, and after waiting about 50 mins, we got our first satay, which is the klatak satay. After we finished that, we waited and waited, but the next 2 satay never came. At this point, my friends are hungry, so i decided to talk to the cook and ask about our other satay. Guess what they said? "sudah sesuai order mas" (that means they thought they already served all of our order) i was like "wat?" and explained everything, but suddenly she got mad at me telling me to wait cuz there is other order they need to finish. I was like "ok" and went ahead and cancelled my order. Even when she's writing my receipt, she is still spewing words at me lmao. All in all, the food is mediocre to good, but the service is terrible. Like, i get it, it's rush hour, but for god sake sort yourselves out. 2/10 probably would recommend if the...
Read moreAll good! We had a festive dinner, not too much but decent to taste a little bit of everything. I, myself, ordered Kicik which I never had before and it was uniquely good but a bit too sweet for my liking. The portion was generous with the condiments and veggies assorted. But maybe I had some dry rice on my plate which kind of decreased my appetite. I’ve had Klathak satay before but I gotta be honest that Pak Jeje’s was the most mouth-watering and scrumptious among the others and it really is a hidden gem.
The service was nothing to complain about, staff was also friendly, but the hygiene needs a big improvement especially on the toilet and sink (along with its soap) because hygiene is everything when it comes to food, you cook, sell, and serve food to people. The place is very strategic as it is super close to the main street and it was a bit packed when we came for supper. Keep up the...
Read moreAlright, let’s talk about “Sate Klathak Pak Jeje.” When we dive into the realm of legendary klathak satay in Jogja, this place doesn’t always get its due credit – it’s like the hidden gem of the scene. But let me tell you, this is hands down the most mouthwatering klathak satay I’ve ever experienced in Jogja. I’d even dare say it outshines those other so-called legendary spots. The flavors are out of this world, and a single serving packs in 3 hearty skewers with some seriously generous cuts. I’ll be straight with you though – the wait can sometimes be a killer. I’ve found myself in line for up to an hour, no joke. But here’s the silver lining: they’re nearly open around the clock. Whenever the klathak craving hits, my compass points directly to this spot. Seriously, it’s a must-try – no two...
