Red Chili Penida — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

We ate at Red Chili four times in a row for dinner and really liked it, except for the pizza.

Asian Food: The best dish was the Tom Yum soup with steamed rice. If you like Asian food, you should definitely try it.

Western Food: We also tried the spaghetti bolognese and it was amazing.

Other Good Eats: We liked the mie goreng, nasi goreng, and desserts like churros. The cocktails were great too.

Service: The people who work at Red Chili are very friendly and make you feel welcome.

Location & Prices: If you're staying around here, Red Chili is the best place we found to eat. The prices are a bit more than a regular warung but very affordable with a lower price than most restaurants.

They don’t add a service charge, so you can tip the staff if you’re happy with the food...

Welcomed by the staff with a great smile. Ordered our drinks & food. Had the mocktails, Penida Good Day & Mango Mint Lassi. Very refreshing!

Food, we had Seafood Tom Yum & Salad. The tom yum... IMPRESSIVE! Taste sooooo good! We even talked about it after we left the place. And the salad dressing is yummmeh~

The wait staff came to check on us & ensure that everything is well.

I must say that the team really put in alot of effort! From the beautiful food presentation (very instragrammable, Haha!) the beverages & overall experience is just AMAZING!

First of all: the staff here is so super friendly. That makes it hard to be objective about the food. That is not that great, chicken curry had overcooked chicken. We mentioned it to the waiter (because thats what you ought to do in a restaurant when you are not satisfied instead of writing a negative review later) he really wanted to make an effort to make it right. We hope that personal feedback will help to avoid these kind of mishaps. The overall taste was ok but not exceptional. On the other hand; it was the most cosy terras/restaurant we have been at, every table was taken, and there was some mellow music playing.
