I recently visited a restaurant and would like to share my experience. While the food was affordable, I found the slow service to be quite disappointing. We ordered kalguksu, sundubu, mangdu, and pajeon. Unfortunately, the wait times for each dish were excessively long.
Firstly, we waited for about 30 minutes for the sundubu to arrive, followed by an additional 15 minutes for the kalguksu. The mangdu took another 15 minutes to reach our table, and finally, we decide to leave because we have waited for an hour for the pajeon. This prolonged waiting time was frustrating and affected our overall dining experience. Do note that they ask for payment upfront. So we had no choice but to wait for the food that we paid already.
On the positive side, the sundubu tasted great. However, the same cannot be said for the rest of the dishes. The noodles in the kalguksu had an unpleasant raw flour smell and taste, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the mangdu had a similar issue, with the dumpling skin also tasting raw and doughy. Also the bottom part of the mangdu dumpling is missing.
To make matters worse, the restaurant staff kept citing the excuse of having only one kitchen. While I understand that it may be challenging to manage multiple kitchens, it should not be an excuse for such slow service and subpar food quality.
improvements are definitely needed in terms of service efficiency and food quality. With some adjustments, this place has the potential to be much better.
Overall, I would not highly recommend this restaurant due to the slow service and mediocre food quality. The chef and the waitress shouldve known better, if they couldnt handle in serving the food, then you need to know that serving whatever food they serve is not the right thing. However, if they address these issues, it could become a more enjoyable dining...
Read morethe restaurant itself is very quaint and the decor is super cute. the food tastes very home cooked which could be good or bad, depending on the person. we ordered several items, the ones that stood out to me were the bulgogi gimbap, kalguksu and the rose tteokboki. the bulgogi gimbap had a nice flavor but the rice they used was very mushy—my friend disliked how soft the rice was but i didn’t mind it. the rose tteokboki had an amazing flavor but i think the rice cakes were a little over cooked and the odeng inside wasn’t very good. the kalguku was tasty, would recommend ordering this. overall, nothing was super mind blowingly amazing, but not a bad restaurant for an easy and simple lunch. note: i don’t recommend ordering the gimmari it was super dry and...
Read moreA Korean Restaurant hidden in BSD. I swear, I never been to this area. Glad that I made it there 😂
The atmosphere is so Korean, but it's not that spacious, but they have another room on the 2nd floor (but it's still also not that spacious). And it's a non-smoking resto. The service is great and the cashier guy is friendly. It didn't take that long for the food to be served after we ordered.
I ordered Rice Beef Bulgogi and it tasted so good 👌🏻 My husband ordered Rose Tteokbokki. He said it was okay, but could improve. My friend ordered Mixed Dosirak, but I didn't ask her how it tasted 😂
You can scan the menu on the table, but you need to pay at the cashier. Overall, a nice dining experience. I would recommend this to...
