I came here on my own and I personally think this place is overhyped and overpriced. Okay, it has a huge parking lot and outdoor seating which is cool.
However, the Smoked Fish (Ikan Salai) Soup I had, especially the soup was not tasty - I couldn’t put my finger what’s wrong but in order to enjoy the fish I had to take it out from the soup. The rice was over cooked but it has a nice smell to it which I liked.
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant - the fish pond in the middle and the flowers surrounding were a great touch. Unfortunately, I visited at night and wore short, so my legs was heaven for the mosquitos.
When I was here, there was a live singer and sang traditional songs which was awesome.

Read moreArrived at the restaurant today at 1.00pm. The delivery of the dishes were within the expected time. However, have to request 3 times before the rice, cutlery are handed to us. The tauge goring was tasteless and the rest of the dishes were not up to the mark too. The staff were busy doing cleaning and clearing of the table, rather than providing good customer services. At the end, I have to wait for a while before the bills are brought up to us. Will not recommend anyone to patronise this...
Read moreVery nice traditional design place. Took my family and friends from Australia on 8 July 2017. But the seafood (gurame and prawn) we had were not fresh. Smelly and fried to long. They said they bought them in the morning but they probably not kept them in the freezer. Seafood should be in the freezer. Especially in the warm weather like Sumatra. The local/river fishes/food are very nice. Well cooked....
