LOCAL PANTRY RESTAURANT & COCKTAIL BAR — Restaurant in Pekanbaru

I've been here for several times but here i am to give you not so humble review.

I went here for several ocassions, bridal shower, dates, lunch, dinner and baby shower. Location is not so bad but i wish they provide bigger parking space. When it's crowded, you have no option but to park so far away and sometimes it can be in front of people's house which can make you look inconsiderate since the owner would probably park in front of his/her house.

Ambience wise, it's a bit too dark for my preference. A bit dark is ok for dinner but for lunch? Pls turn on the lights 😅. The interior wasn't as good as the food cost tbh, non-smoking area room's door looked so old that it might break, sofa's seatings got dent mark and the spring is damaged (please fix it). Smoking area..... No comment 😂 the sofa is as bad as the other room 😭

If you're going for lunch meh, but for dinner i guess it acceptable 🤔. Oh they have performance for every alternate days. But do be mindful of going there since it's like a club.

Now let's talk about food. EXCLUDING TAX (PPn 10% + service charge 5%) I ordered: nasi campur local pantry = 60.000 spaghetti aglio olio = 80.000 chicken caesar salad = 70.000 peppermint tea = 30.000 lemon tea = 30.000

Nasi campur portion is so big 😅 tasted quite ok, quite oily tbh, it's too much for me 😂 portion is big, maybe can feed 2 ppl instead of 1. Wish they can give soup as side dish instead of all oily stuff 😅 all of them is fried in this menu. Cost worthy.

Spaghetti aglio olio, tasted a bit bland, lack of italian seasonings, can be improved. Ordered the one with shrimp but the shrimp wasn't look like the one on the menu, the shrimp was too small and only 2 shrimps was given 😭 and costed 80k? Nope, not going to order this again 😭. I can eat better one in other store.

Caesar salad was ok, the mayo is store bought, tasted like maestro mayo with extra salt 🤦‍♀️ chicken only 4 strips 🤦‍♀️ i feel heated eating 75k salad. The weird thing that it costed almost the same with the main dishes omg yet most of it is greens 😒 but if you're willing to burn your money for it, i don't see why not 🤷‍♀️

The drinks was the worst 🤦‍♀️ it's tea bags and its lipton brand some more 🤦‍♀️ it's so cheap but they sell for 30k 🙄 gosh

Aside from this i went here for dates, we went for drinks, but weirdly enough, the beers doesn't cost so expensive tho haha, definitely coming back for beer night 🤗

Service wise it's good, the staff was knowledgeable about the dishes, but only the manager, the waitress need more study to do 😅

Overall experience was ok. Would i come back? Yes if i got spare money to burn out.

I have been going to the local pantry for some time.It has been a little disappointing over the last couple of months due to the inconsistent taste of there menu and the effort it takes to explain why you are complaining, 😞. Today I traveled some distance to try their breakfast menu I turned up at opening time to be told they not open after trying to explain that the opening times are on there menu and ge it's even on there front door I guess basically there customer service is below standard and consistently on menu is to be questionable I will probably give this place a miss until maybe they inploy new cooks and realize we don't expect a high standard we just expect a...

Serving alcohol and wide variety of food, smoking is allowed after 8pm. It's better to make a reservation before. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price level is at the mid up side. Resto ambience is quite dark.

The highlight here is the live music. We were there on Friday nite. Speaker was too loud, you had to compete even screaming when talking. We can request a song. We did but 2 hours we sat there (including 1x reminder thru the staff), the band never played our song. We arrived before 8pm and left around 11pm.
