Aroem Restaurant & Ballroom — Restaurant in Semarang

Very disappointed. I reserved a break fasting from morning for me and my family, eventually got seated in like an annex building, second floor, right in front of the ENTRANCE OF TOILET!!! I asked to switch to other table or place or anything but that spot. Staff just busy themselves and even their supervisor dont help much, which results nothing, I dont have the option to switch table or move to nowhere. I decide to leave yet the staff has the audacity to ask me "then how with the food?". Fyi, I partially paid the booking and didn't ask for refund, nor they offer it. Really this is the hospitality of Aroem restaurant? Which just last week before, I break fast with 30+ team at Aroem Jakarta. Then surely I will never set foot in their resto...

From start, the restaurant served a great deal of Indonesian food at quite reasonable prices for Semarang. The location of it is usually crowded with traffic lights just outside, but it’s a rather roomy ambiance that’s quite comfortable to eat at. The food as seen on the photos are kind of hit and miss, but I can say they taste how you’d expect it— the thing that lacks the most is the server’s general attitude. It took longer to get the menu apparently rather than the food. If you’re interested- it’s a good place to take photos and the decor is appropriate for the cuisine. Food was delicious and fast serving. We ordered the King prawn and it was really tasty and tender. The Gourame with rujak sauce were a little bit off, because the fish has a hint of moss scent(bau tanah) on it, but it still was delicious. The price were normal for a category as restaurant, and relatively not too expensive. Friendly and polite Staffs.
