Levain Cafe - Artisan Sourdough & Coffee — Restaurant in Semarang

Hi, I'm here to honestly review Levain Cafe.

There, I ordered a Croisant Sandwich (38k), Creamy Chicken With Butter Rice (47k) and a Cafe Latte (28k).

Straight to the point..I'm very displeased and dissapointed..

The Creamy Chicken with Butter? Rice? is very wrong. It (the rice) shouldn't be named like that, cz it taste like a fried rice with lots of garlic..where's the butter anyway? abuse?. And as the creamy sauce itself, it felt like it is not so very well spiced. The sauce taste like it is already prepared and "heated" together with salt. The sauce is too salty. The chicken is fine, well cooked and I think it's fresh (It's a chicken with bones not a chicken fillet).

Next is the Croisant, it is delightly good but for me it's overprice. Nothing special there just a croisant with boiled egg, mayonaise, mustard, and hams. The condiments is nowhere there and the plating is served ordinarily. I can get a much better croisant sandwich elsewhere with that proce though.

Finaly the cafe latte... it's good, it's well served, but again..too overprice. for that price, I can get a giant glass of cafe latte elsewhere.

Overall, I should try the other menu..maybe I'm mistaken on judging this place. but honestly, I won't repeat my mistake and seriously change to...

I recently visited Levain Cafe, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a relaxing cup of coffee. The artisan sourdough is simply outstanding—each loaf is beautifully baked with a perfect crust and a soft, flavorful interior.

I am an avid costumer of this restaurant. Almost every week I eat here, and most of the time I order food throught gofood app. Only this time that I am so upset and very disappointed! I ordered and waited patiently, only to received notification from the app that this restaurant cancelled my order after waiting for an hour. Ethical wise, very poor! An excuse of not being able to contact a delivery driver is such a lame excuse. Hopefully next time, you do not do this to any of your costumers.
