Jasunda stands for Jawa Sunda. Just like the name, this Indonesian restaurant provides various Indonesian foods, especially Javanese and Sundanese cuisine.
When we came for lunch on a public holiday, the restaurant was very crowded. They have a spacious parking area, and the restaurant itself is spacious, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Luckily, we got a seat; this one was special because we were seated in an air-conditioned room that could accommodate about four tables.
They provide à la carte and package menus. If you are in a group, a package menu could be a good deal. We were a group of four and tried the Paket Bareng RW (IDR 495,000). This package consists of : Choices of 2 bakul white rice or 2 kastrol liwet rice (we chose liwet rice as it's savory)
5 pcs serundeng chicken (Recommended)
Sate maranggi (Recommended)
2 gejos nila / 1 gejos gurame (we chose gejos gurame)
Cah Kangkung (stir-fried water spinach)
Cah toge (stir-fried beansprouts)
Tempe penyet
Tahu penyet
Sayur asem
Sambel terasi (Recommended)
Sambel kemangi (Recommended)
Lalapan

Read moreDine here on the Independence Day, the place has a traditional Javanese-style building. The restaurant able to maintain a comfortable atmosphere and provides prompt service. The menu we ordered ade staple Sundanese dishes. Nasi Liwet is a fragrant and savory rice dish, we felt this is a must order as the carbs base. This is frequently accompanied by Ayam Serundeng, a fried chicken dish topped with crisp grated coconut. The beef in the Sate Maranggi is very good and tender. The Gejos Nila is a distinct fish dish on the menu, and quite spicy. Side dishes include Cah Kangkung, which has a crunchy texture but a bit small in portion, plus Sayur Asem, which has balanced sweet and sour flavors. A variety of sambals are available, including the moderately spicy Sambal Terasi and the hot Sambal Kampung. Both are popular and are offered with free refills. The fried Tempe and Tahu Penyet serve as common accompaniments to these chili sauces. Overall the place it okay for communal or family gatherings, as they can arrange long tables and prices...

I ordered Ayam Bakar Singosari IDR.26.000 (So many spices and kinda strong flavour, you need to eat it with rices to balance the strong flavour), its not spicy for me though even though the waiter told so.
Nasi Liwet is tasty and savoury as they put anchovies and herbs.
For Tofu with spicy sambals feels quite expensive for IDR.14.000 (you got 2 pcs)
The place and toilets are clean, staffs super friendly and...
