Wedangan Kampoeng — Restaurant in Special Region of Yogyakarta

We tried out this spot 2hr before it's closing time.

We sat on the wooden log table at the terrace. They offered inside seating of limasan - traditional javanese house. Also available for private "saung" or gazebo. So - ambiance is really good. Guessing if it is bright sun - you will get good shaded area.

You come to kitchen area with cashier and pay right away on your orders.

Drinks are very reasonably priced - well positioned one as to compare of good ambiance you will get. Didn't try the meal dishes though - but we had or fritters which is worth for money - again, very well priced.

But they got this small kinda wrapped meal - which is good for 3-4 bites. Caution - if you take them - take 3 or 5 portion of those :)

Just come today...barely able to get a space for our car...its Ramadan,but no1 tell us when magrib comes...we rely on our phone,n I'm stuck in front the cashier when adzan comes...my bro asked for fried noodles,but until 6.30 its nowhere,not at our table at least...we asked,n they just tell that,"sorry,seems like we havent tell the cooks"...at 7 we still haven't see it,so we asked for take it out,n just now I'm checking,its becomes fried rice😱😱😱😱its cheap sure,its mostly self-service,but its lacking hospitality n professionalism...I might be biased,maybe thats how they do(no floor manager n whatever),but as long as I know,customer are king...if there some problems they should...

It's a super nice angkringan in Jogja, you should check this place out. This place is situated in the suburb in the north of Jogja. You barely see this place from the street because you have to go down an alley alike. The food is tipical of angkringan food (such as cat rice😁, satay, plus various kind of vegies) but it self service, so you take the food by yourself. The food is more complete than ordinary angkringan. There are many similar places like this in Jogja, but this one has a real river in it. We feel like we are in a village as surrounded by trees too. Plus they use Javanese traditional house for the resto and old Javanese furniture which make the ambiance...
