Pecel is the taste of Indonesian at the modest style. Although it is hard to tell which dish can represent Indonesian food, pecel at least is well known and well accepted throughout Indonesia. Bu Kus pecel restaurant is my favourite because the taste reminds me of the best pecel of my childhood. Pecel is regarded as common meal for most of east javanese. People can even eat everyday. Pecel Bu Kus, is typical east java pecel, with less aromatic "kencur" rhizome taste. Pecel is basically steam rice top up with poached vegies and spiced peanut sauce. It is eaten with peyek, a kind of rice cracker, you can choose either with peanut or with teri (anchovy). Pecel is best enjoyed with other side dishes like sweet spiced shreded coconut, empal (fried beef meet) and oseng tempe. You will find that Bu Kus empal and fried ox tongue are exceptional. I would recommend this place if you would like to taste a bit...

The prices listed in the menu are reasonable. So, it is...
