Seribu rempah — Restaurant in Surabaya

Apparently this is another branch from ketjombrang restaurant, but there is a new food variant on the menu, the food here is really great, their ketjombrang rice is really fragrant and flavourful, the "empal" also tender and tasty, love it The decoration and interior is really nice, there is also an indoor and outdoor area here, unfortunately their waiter crew and captain are really arrogant and lack manners , when I ask for a menu they handed me one and then looked away and put on some unpleasant smile, later on there is this large group came a bit late, the captain just arrogantly turn them down, saying "we're full, go try some other places" not even trying to look for a table that almost finished, luckily there is other customer called them telling that they're about to leave, I got to say this is the worst hospitality I've ever experienced , I really do hope the management can do something about their employee attitude

Service sangat buruk. Awal saya datang tanya di kasir, apakah ada meja untuk 2 orang. Kasir hanya jawab coba naik ke atas tanpa diarahkan sama sekali.

Waktu di lantai 2 sedikit lebih panas dibanding lantai 1 Saya order lalu tidak diberi nomor meja atau bukti order yang biasa berupa kertas kecil yang ditempel di meja kita. Sehingga jadi worry apakah sebenarnya order kita sudah masuk ke sistem atau belum.

Meja yang saya tempati awalnya masih ada piring2 kotor dari orang sebelumnya. Saya sampai panggil 3 waiter baru dibersihkan. Dan ketika dibersihkan juga butuh hampir 3 waiter berbeda yang bersihkan. Selesai dibersihkan saya harus panggil waiter lainnya untuk minta mejanya dilap.

Minuman dan makanan baru keluar setelah 30 menit. Saya pesan nasi kecombrang ayam 2 porsi dan es dewata. Saya request minta mangkok kecil untuk sharing es dewata, lama sekali datangya. Sampai saya harus minta ke 2 waiter baru datang.

Nasi kecombrangnya ada sedikit pedas di nasinya, padahal waktu order saya nanya ke waiternya apakah nasinya pedas/ tidak, dijawab sambalnya dipisah. Kenyataannya waktu datang sambalnya benar dipisah, tetapi di dalam nasinya sendiri sudah dicampur dengan irisan cabe, untuk orang yang tidak bisa/ tidak suka pedas tentu sangat menjadi concern ya kalau ada rasa pedas sedikit saja. Product knowledge waiter nya mohon ditingkatkan lagi. Untuk rasa makanannya oke. Es dewata nya oke, tetapi nothing special. Pakai agar warna hijau.

Waktu payment dikasir setelah dikasih bill, kasirnya bahkan tidak menanyakan mau payment via apa, konsumen yang nanya saya bayar pakai qris apakah bisa. Sangat tidak responsif dan tidak ramah dari awal kasirnya.

Saya sangat kecewa dengan service dari Seribu Rempah. Padahal tempat dan konsepnya sudah bagus. Sangat perlu ditingkatkan service dan manajemennya, bisa diberi bukti setelah diinput orderannya. Bisa diberi nomor meja sehingga waiter tidak bingung pada saat mengantar orderan. Bisa diberi bell sehingga memudahkan pengunjung untuk...

Overall food was super delicious, above our expectation. We were staying at Hotel Amaris Margorejo, then decided to have dinner here. The staff knew well about the menu, and recommend us a certain menu which didn't match our picks.

We ate: Rawon sapi: sooo traditional, lots of meat, melted in our mouth. Bebek ambyar: seasoned rice + fried crispy duck. The sambal, rice, duck combined perfectly. Poffertjes (snack) : OMG you can't miss this one, soooo delicious! It's not a snack you can made yourself daily at home.
