I think this is the best "Soto Lamongan" in Surabaya, I have eaten here several times and the taste is still the same and has not changed, Soto Cak Har was established in 1992 and has 2 branches, but I prefer the taste of soto at the main branch of Soto Cak Har on Dr. Ir. H. Soekarno No. 220, If you want to come here, it opens at 6 am and closes at 2 pm, Soto Cak Har is closed on Sundays, The uniqueness of Soto Lamongan is that we can add "Koya", Koya is a powder made from a mixture of garlic and prawn crackers. Without it, the taste of the soup seems to be lacking because Koya makes the Soto taste more savory and the more we add Koya, the thicker the Soto will be, in Soto Cak Har we can add unlimited Koya!! :) and we can choose Soto Ayam Breast or Thigh, we can buy white crackers or prawn crackers available on the table, For prices in the range of Rp20k-25k depending on the menu and drinks, Traditional snacks are also available here such as Serabi, Sweet Potato Balls, etc. near the entrance to Soto Cak Har, If you bring a car, don't worry about the parking lot, the parking lot fits +- 30 cars, AC and non-AC rooms are available with sufficient capacity for all visitors, Enjoy trying the Best Soto Lamongan in Surabaya!! :)

About the food, Even tough the Soto taste is fine, but as the time goes, the quality of the food is decreasing. From the last time I visited the restaurant, the food is having less chicken in it. The Soto soup is still delicate as it is but only for one thing, it has less garlicky taste in it. Its becoming more bland (for Indonesian taste bud). Even if you have to pay more for more fillings, the chicken fillings in the soup are not equally expected as their price. But other than that, the drink, the side dish, and chips are still good as it is. About the service, it is still as good as the last time I came. The toilets, parking lot, menus, bring-on-to-the-table service, utensils, etc. The only different thing is their waiters (no waitress present here) are increased. About location and customer, it is very accessible by both private and public vehicles. It is placed on the roadside of one of the main express way in Surabaya. Parking lot are wider since the last time I came. The customers are mainly the middle-class to high-class customer. The place are seated well, with tables and chairs, numbers, and signages.

Updated May'24, More than one year since our last visit, the price has been risen high, contradicted with the tiny portion and less soup. 30k for complete split soto-rice is felt way too high, considering this is not kampung chicken. Furthermore, there's no free chicken bone in the bowl if you are not in a big group visitor. Becoming our average mediocre soto ayam in town. 2023: Still one amongst the best soto ayam in Surabaya. Used to often dine-in at their starting point on the roadside of Dharmahusada Indah Timur, in front of SMPN 19, back in the good old days. Remain unchanged taste, delicious yellow broth soto ayam with free-flow of koya on the table. The staffs were fast and handy in serving. Accurate order handling though in rush and crowded situation. Price wise is still affordable compare to competitors. Even the limited payable parking space, this restaurant is still recommended.

The Most Crowded Soto in Surabaya! Since a long ago this Soto had been popular among surabaya people, it started to sell with such a temporary stall /cart and now becoming the biggest Soto Resto in Surabaya Soto/chicken stock it self is quite tasteful and you can request to add more chicken slice, chicken fee & bone. If you need more tasteful taste you can add couple spoons of shrimp powder (we called it Koya) and you can take as you want on table The price is reasonable, seeing that it located in main road with the big spacious for dine in and the visitors are come and go quite often, the price is friendly for the pocket The parking space area is vast, the dining area is also quite comfy and very vast. You can bring your family or friends here without worry to don’t get the space
