Omah Selat — Restaurant in Surakarta

Recommended by my cousin, now I recommend you!! I love Selat Solo, i might be subjective but this one was DE-LI-CI-OUS. Like Really really mouthwatering-can not resist another one-kinda thing. I was suprised to see the price on the menu.. Well, Anything in Solo is generally cheap, but these were CHEAP, especially when you compare to prices in Jakarta.

Selat Segar (Beef) 19K x 2 Selat Galantin (Chicken) 17K Fried Potato & Sweet Potato 15K Beras Kencur 7K Hot Tea 1 or 2 K

I forgot the exact price but total we paid 78K. I should mention that each of them tasted awesome and just perfect. The sauce wasn't too salty/spicy/sweet, The meat was tender, the potato was perfectly cooked.

Did I mention that the interior of the restaurant is chinese-javanese vintage style? There were many adorable accessories inside the store. Also, they accept Debit Card,...

I'm on holiday here coming from Australia so when I say I know my ribs, I know my ribs. And let me tell you, their Selat Iga Bakar are the best ribs I've ever had in my life. The dish is complex with a large assortment of unique flavours and textures that all compliment each other beautifully; Ranging from a crunchy sweet potato chip, a fresh and crisp salad, and the most mouthwatering ribs that just melt in your mouth topped with parmesan cheese. You are sure to never fall into boredom or hunger whilst enjoying this meal as the portions are just as big as the ones back at home. If I were to ever come here again, without a doubt I'd be ordering this very meal again.

Belum ke Solo kalau belum kesini! Sirloin bakar madunya recommended, even little bit 'alot'.

Javanese steak (sirloin with honey and Javanese sauce), one kind of the unique food you can find at Solo. Served with sweet potato, mushrooms, salad and chips.

For ribs, i'm not recommend it. Iga nya porsinya sedikit, lebih worthed yg sirloin

Selain interior yg feels like at home, pelayanannya pun baik.
