Ordinary food, extraordinary price. Extraordinarily expensive, that is.

Normally you get what you paid for, right? But not this one; not by a long shot. Rasa biasa-biasa saja, porsi terbilang mini untuk harganya, suasana tidak nyaman, dan harganya, my oh my, mahal sekali. I am completely fine dengan harga mahal, kalau SEBANDING dengan the experience; misal lokasi di mall/hotel (sewanya mahal), atau restoran kelas atas (full AC, suasana sejuk dan nyaman, lokasi strategis), atau makanannya susah dicari, atau semacamnya. This one? Miss on all points.

My sister-in-law bilang pengunjungnya hanya ada 1 tipe: generasi ORLA, berani bayar mahal, dan tidak banyak komplain. I wholeheartedly agree. So if you're looking for that nostalgic value (maybe your parents used to take you here when you're small), sure, a visit or two once in a while is fine. As for me? A definite skip. If I want old school Chinese cuisine that doesn't leave a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively speaking), I'll go to another restaurant that's only 450m to the west...

Centrum is the old classic cantonese style food that stands the test of time. Butter fried frog legs here is one of the best. Most of their cookings have distinct subtle flavor that scream homemade🍽🥡🍴

They also have babi hong here (three layered pork) without the mustard veggies though. I also recommend trying their crab sausage, goes great with any rice...

Resto chinese food terenak di Solo dg harga yg wajar krn lezatnya. Sy meneruskan selera ayah dan ibu mertua saya yg sdh belasan tahun mnjadi pelanggan tetap. Kami biasa makan disini sekeluarga terutama bila ada anggota keluarga yg berulang tahun atau peristiwa2 khusus spt anak kami lulus ujian, diterima kerja atau peristiwa lain yg mrpk berkah keluarga.. Biasanya sy telp dulu utk reserved tempat duduk krn seringkali resto ini full booked.

Pd waktu Om pemiliknya msh hidup biasanya bliau sdh mengenali suara sy di telp ketika sy baru sampaikan halo dan salam..

Menu favorit kami adalah burung dara goreng mentega, soup hisit dan ca jamur.ercerita bhe Sampai sampai si Om sdh menebak menu pesanan kami ketiks sy blm menyebutkannya.

Istrinya ygvdibantu putrinya yg sekarang meneruskan mengelola resto Centrum ini bercerita bhw si Om sdh berpulang menghadap Tuhannya tanpa melalui gejala gejala sakit.

Sy mendapati bhw sebagian besar pelanggannya adalah juga merupakan para pelanggan warisan dari orang tua mereka....
