Leaving Jakarta from a terrible trip… getting something warm to eat before going inside pass the immigration cause it is the most unentertaining terminal, maybe one of the worst, even Phuket is nicer, IMO. Maybe it’s the store design or… I kinda like the old terminal.
Conveniently located by the check in counters, the store has many seatings. Staffs are accommodating. Menu can be refreshed a little. It’s not very pleasantly looking cause pages are all crumbled. It almost represents a mid-low priced restaurants in this town. Something that store owners care less for making things to be on-point. Everything is just getting by. Low standard. Chairs not perfectly clean. Staffs drying utensils out at the open. Just simple attentiveness can improve a lot especially the restaurant wasn’t that busy.
Service was fine. Food was on the sweet side. It’s halal I think. The dumplings were too sweet for me and so is the soup. Dumplings are very important for me so im picky. The chicken soup isn’t as good as the one in Din tai Fung. The veggie spring rolls were the only good ones but they aren’t served with vinegar but some red sweet sauce. The side order eggs which i definitely don’t recommend it cause they don’t look good. Pretty dented like literally.
I like this place in general maybe it’s just not the same as the general outlet like the one I’ve tried before. Or I just happened to order wrong items.
Service is not bad I just wanted to...
Read moreThis restaurant is the only proper chinese restaurant in this airport. However, some of the dishes were not as delicious as expected. The white eggs with scallop was great, and the garlic pocai as well. But, the garlic was not soft enough. The spring roll was ok. The contents were not chopped small enough and it lacked the contents even though the wrapping was perfect. The fried fish with garlic was not special. Taste-wise, it was ok. But presentation-wise, it was not attractive at all. The drunken chicken on the other hand was amazing! The chicken was really soft and it absorped the chinese liquor very well. As for the dessert, the aloe vera with goji berry was the star of the whole meals. It was perfect for me. Service-wise, the waiters and waitresses were all friendly and very helpful in explaining all the dishes. Price-wise, some of the regular-nonspecial dishes were quite overpriced, while some very good dishes had lower prices and better taste complexity. In my opinion, this restaurant needs to elevate some of its dishes' presentation and taste. Overall, I'd still recommend you to try...
Read moreThe only good thing about this restaurant was the taste, the rest was a joke, especially for a pricey restaurant. The portion was tiny and overpriced, I paid 240.000 for 1 person and not even nearly full. The fried chicken was 70% bones, you had to search to find some meaty bites. I expected a fried chicken breast like it's common. 3 of the just 10 beverages where not available and they sold me a 300 ml bottle of water for 20k.
The staff can't speak English even though it's at an international Airport, so you can't even ask for things or give criticism. The menu has a spicy sign to signal spicy foods, however the one I ordered didn't have the sign and came very spicy. When I asked they didn't know how to respond just said it's normal for that dish to be spicy and didn't offer anything else.
I recommend to find another place, as I feel completely ripped off.
Ps: tip for the restaurant: make the spicy signs for all spicy dishes,or don't use a spicy sign at all so people can just...
