Best place for knowing about Tarakan socialite life, especially elite people. Tarakan people said many people gather in this place: from bad guys to policeman, from journalist to politicians, and from civilian to soldiers. This place always full with people for a long time. Usually, they chat while enjoy the meal and beverages. Some of them are politicians. In this place, they make politics lobbying and discuss about Tarakan city condition.
This place one of oldest cafe in Tarakan city. The building made by wood. Contras with building surrounding this cafe which is mostly concrete building. On my first sight, this place was not interesting at all. But, when I come with that fact I mentioned in first and second sentences, it is more interest place to see Tarakan city real condition.

It was started back in the 1948 by Koh Aseng’s mother who started with a very humble Coffee Shop. It was then run by Koh Aseng and grows bigger adding more choices of menu. It is now run by the wife and the daughter-in-law still with many options on menu.
We ordered roti telur kari ayam, es kopi susu, jeruk kiamboi, kwetiau goreng, Maggie noodle, bakpao, bihun kuah, misoa kuah. All taste great! The service was fast and friendly too.
