Bamboo Beach Bar Pangandaran — Restaurant in West Java

Very long service for the food to come. It seems that they do not have any guideline for the servants to serve. I saw many of the servants gathered around near the kitchen, and some of them were smoking in front of the kitchen where they serve the foods for the customer. And the servants were smoking during working hours. Though they were friendly. Bit the strange thing was, they did not know about the menu when I asked about it. I found the price were average for food, affordable, but the drinks, alcohol one, it was quite equal with a price of cafe or bar in the city, even some were more expensive. I ordered Chicken Soup, it was too sweet!!! For me it's not edible. I will not come again to this place in the near future. For me it is not recommended. After checking on some tiktoks about this place, we ended up trying this cafe. Ambience was so good, almost felt like Jimbaran. I'd say 5 of 5 but with cats around us, "attacking" us while eating was not a good view tbh.

Service was good, I'd say 4 of 5. A bit snobby but I saw that as a part of his character.

As for the food wise, honestly the hype didn't go in sync with the taste. So I'd say 3 of 5. Very disappointed with the crabs, almost all shells with little meat, but the sauce was good. The fried shrimp was quite good. But the drink was bad, he claimed it was made and not from sachet, apparently it was Lipton Ice Tea from sachet (can't accept lies).

Arrived 730pm, done ordering at 815pm, food served at 1015pm, COLD. Returned the COLD ikan bakar and sotong and got a refund. We thought they simply had too many people to serve but since the food came out cold, we guessed they just don’t have the system to make it faster. There were two band in the same restaurant, one inside the restaurant and one out at the beach. If you happened to sit in between, you will be bombarded by two different type of music. It’s quite annoying. So, If you don’t have tired kids and not too hungry, and you enjoy loud clutter music, then you can go there to spend your time while waiting...
