Coffee shop at the mountain, middle of nowhere, you want to be somewhere else in Bandung, go to Eugene the Goat.
It takes courage and strong will to arrive at the place. Following Google Maps, we passed Intercontinental Hotel, then the road is getting smaller. Then we saw unpaved road, we asked a security officer but he suggested that we should avoid that route and took a longer route instead. Then we moved around, seeing the huge Intercontinental hotel building, the road is again unpaved, and many trees on our sides. We were hesitated but no place to go back, the tiny road is a one way path. Eventually we saw a tall new building, Clove Hotel. Eugene the Goat is a coffee shop at the ground floor of the hotel. A small place for making coffee with glass walls, some youngsters run the café. They have breads as well. Some exotic names of coffee beans are on display for sale : Ilomba, Cyanika, Colombia Alejandro Ahumada, Guatemala El Diamante, Ethiopia Adado Sulula, East Java Badiel, Flores mGorba. The seats are outdoor, cooled by the mountain air, viewing a meadow of greeneries, trees and villas. A nice place, pleasant view, and without the tourists, the place is quiet, you can hear the sound of the wind blowing the trees and crickets from afar. Below Eugene the Goat is hotel grounds, some parts are suitable for...
