The Black Stump — Restaurant in West Java

We were here by 5.30 PM on Dec 31 to get some food and drink. Later after finishing our first order, one of the staf told us that they were having a year-end event that needed preliminary registration cost of Rp150rb/pax

The thing is, nobody told us about the event when we first arrived so we just ordered our first set of menu. Yet a staf named pak edi came for the second time at 9.30 PM literally asking us to pay or to leave the place right after we have ordered our second menu and haven't finished them all yet, and suddenly there were 3 just arrived guests stood besides our table waited for us to leave!! What the ÷%!\×!??

Even as a 'regular' customer according to pak edi's terminology that were not planned to join the event, wasn't we had the rights to stay in our table as long we dont surpassed midnight???

We ended up with a total bil of almost Rp700rb (plus there was a glass of cappuccino on the bill that we didn't order)

Asked to meet the manager but no luck and no kind response from the cashier also..

So this is a kind of bad first experience due to lack of info (and that was not our fault) and surely not a good way to treat first-time customers.

Four of us should had been loved this place.. but for me personally, delivering good food and atmosphere is one thing but good services matters the top!

Here is my respond to the reply from the owner:

First, I received the reply on March 21st, 2019. -I had a smile from my face noticing that my review has finally been responded :)-

Well maybe someone's been busy...but leaving a one-star review for almost 80 days unresponded, that is somewhat putting your professionalism in running your business questionable!

Second, seriously?! how come you put the mistakes to your servers/employees alone? They're the low level workers whos doing their job based on what they are told to, so what is function of the managers, and perhaps...owners??? Moreover, that was not the first time you have this occasion as you mentioned in your reply.

Third, so where's the mitigation so this kind of things wont be happened again to your future customers??

As an owner, don't you have a word about what will you do to avoid this to me and your upcoming customers and rather saying this is the mistakes of your employees?

Fourth, it wasn't quite the view that kept us there for 4 hours.......

.........it was the traffic...!

Hey OWNER! How could you asked for an understanding for something that you, your stafs, your security guy, or at least someone that never been acknowledged to your earlier customer before in that...

There's a New Sheriff in Town !!!! And his name is The Juicery!!!!!! Let's talk about the Prices incredible bottle of Vodka 400k Large beer 47k I challenge any of you to find a better priced place. Now let's go to the Staff they are nice, efficient , courteous and good looking. Food, pizza is one of my favorites in Bandung the Chef knows his way around a kitchen guys it's like this come for the libations stay for the food. Music it is great variety of dance music and plenty of space to shake your moneymaker if you like to dance and I do you won't be disappointed. Let's talk about the view if you come to Bandung from other cities the reason you come is for the nature and The Juicery is surrounded by it there is no windows to obstruct you can, see it, smell it and feel the fresh air there is no road noise you've got views of the city down below and plush greenery all around you beautiful place guys you have to see it to believe. Parking is bountiful well organized and the staff is willing to help you out. The bathroom are clean and neat and as an added bonus for the boys the urinals make you feel like you're outside. Let me explain there's an open outside said window is a giant tree 🌴 and admit we like to pee outside!! The entrance is dramatic you'll see. I can't see enough good things about this place it is the epitome of why go out in Bandung. Come here to escape your worries for a while fall in love with nature the views and the gorgeous staff I love love love this place!

The ambience is fine. But I was very disappointed with the food there. The size of its pasta is unbelievably small. My friend ordered beef stroganoff and tuna chilli for me. We almost got mad, but since the waitress was smiling and friendly, we just complained about the size. Then, she just found there's almost no beef on her pasta, only mushroom. We complained for the second time, this time, we told the head of the bar about it. We intended to talk to the chef after eating our food since we both were starving. But unfortunately, there was still a crucial problem after those. When we started eating our food, both of our pasta tasted too salty. I love tasty food, but our pasta were too much! So this time, we just told the head of the bar to call the chef. It was a very disappointing experience. The good thing about them was they accepted our complain well and admitted their mistakes. I almost never returned my order, but this time, I couldn't stand it. So they gave us a chance to order another one. We ordered four cheese pizza (medium size) and it turned to be okay. The drinks were standard but okay. I gave 3 stars because their attitude was good and the place is actually cozy to hang out. I hope they will do better...
