I want to address this review for the management who's in charge of managing Ashtari Villa (Since the Villa is not listed on Google business) :
Stayed here on July 29th 2025
The Ashtari Villa is set in a truly beautiful location, offering a serene and picturesque environment that’s perfect for a relaxing escape. The natural setting is undoubtedly the highlight of this property.
That said, the overall experience did not meet expectations, especially considering the price and the label of a "villa." The room was decent but could use some renovation. We also noticed the floor was dusty, suggesting the space hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned or properly prepared for our arrival.
The most disappointing aspect was the service, which was far below acceptable standards. Upon arrival, we had issues checking in because none of the staff seemed to know how to handle our booking. We were passed between several people, all giving us unclear answers or simply saying “I don’t know.” It was clear that no one was properly trained or informed, and there was no clear reception point to manage guests professionally.
When we raised this issue with the woman acting as the receptionist, she told us that our booking was under a "different management," even though the location and name were exactly the same. This excuse felt disingenuous and unacceptable. Whether under one or multiple managements, guests should receive consistent, competent service.
Security was equally unprofessional. After 10 PM, the gates were locked, and when we asked what we should do if we wanted to leave, the security guard simply replied, “I don’t know.” This lack of basic training is not only frustrating but potentially unsafe.
It’s unfortunate to say, but unless all staff receive proper hospitality training, experiences like ours will continue, and the reputation of the villa will suffer. As it stands, the level of service does not...
Read moreWe were so excited to treat ourselves after a long day of travel, to the beautiful Ashtari restaurant for dinner. We looked past the high prices on the menu as everything sounded so good and the space is beautiful. I’m sad to say this was not only the worst value for money but also one of the poorest meals we’ve had during our 4 weeks in Indonesia, and the most expensive.
We ordered the Jackfruit pizza , and the Indian Platter.
Firstly the restaurant was quite empty and we waited a long time to be served. I asked whether the pizza had a tomato base and I was assured it did and the curry platter was Reccomend so that is what we ordered.
The curry platter came first, without the cheese naan we ordered. The naan was forgotten and the curry became cold, but kindly they did reheat it for us. Although I can’t really say anything positive about the curry, the Dhal was flavorless and was more watery than lentil packed. The other “ curry “ I don’t even know what is was, had no substance and was just like a watery soup. Everything lacked flavour.
Then the pizza arrived about 20 minutes after the curry, making my friend wait very long for her food. The pizza had no tomato base and was also not great at all.
All in all not a good dining experience & poor service . There is a beautiful view and atmosphere though and will be back for the yoga but not to eat. They did kindly not charge for the cheese naan.
Side note : you also have to pay for filtered water that is just in a jug , not bottled or anything. And it’s 15 rupees which is a lot considering most restaurants give free filtered water. Just...
Read moreI had an absolutely unforgettable evening at Ashtari. I was looking for a unique way to plan a romantic date for my partner, when an idea occurred to me. I envisioned setting up an exclusive dinner just for the two of us in the serene Yoga Shala. I shared this thought with Bahri from Ashtari, who enthusiastically embraced the idea and turned it into reality.
The arrangement exceeded my expectations: not only was a table set up, but they also went above and beyond by scattering flower petals all around and creating a stunning, candlelit atmosphere. It was undoubtedly the most romantic setting I've ever witnessed. The staff went the extra mile to ensure our evening was nothing short of amazing.
The food was spot-on. We started with the crispy spring rolls, then savored the paneer and butter chicken curry for our main course, and rounded off our meal with some scrumptious banana bread for dessert.
We ended our magical night by striking the large gong, symbolizing our intention to consciously and curiously commit to the growth and development of our relationship.
I cannot recommend this experience enough for anyone seeking a uniquely romantic escapade, arguably the best in all of Kuta.
A heartfelt thank you to Ashtari and their team for orchestrating such a...
