just love hanging out here when I’m in Gerupuk. Such a great vibe before and after surfing, or just to hang out on your rest day. You can work there (WIFI is great), play a game of chess, and get ready or rest in the best way. If you’re lucky, the hammocks are free, and well, enjoy your nap.

The people working here are amazing; they’re so sweet, kind, helpful, attentive, and fun! I've had a lot of fun moments with Suci, Mia & Sabat, say hi to them for me when you’re having your coffee there. They care and it shows.

Not only are the people great, but the coffee is also fantastic! If you see the machine, you’ll know immediately. Give it a try and you’ll know.

The food is also amazing; they use great fresh local products, they have sourdough bread, cold-pressed juices (my favorites were Don-Don & Outside Right), and the Nutty-Nana smoothie with 100% peanut butter is also a favorite energy booster.

Last but not least, maybe the most important thing: Don’t leave Gerupuk without trying the Banana bread of SOMM!

Somms Cafe in Gerupuk is an absolute gem. The food and service were incredible, making it a highlight of our trip. Tys and his team are so welcoming and kind, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Somms quickly became a staple in our daily routine—early morning surf followed by some wonderful food and drinks at the cafe.

The ambiance is fantastic. This cute, beachy open cafe overlooks the water, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. The music selection was always spot on; I found myself Shazaming so many tracks and even asking for the playlists.

Our group of friends always loved debriefing our surf sessions at the cafe, playing Uno and other card games provided by the cafe. It was a great way to unwind and share our experiences.

Did I mention the food is great? Every dish we tried was delicious, and the variety kept us coming back day after day. You will not be disappointed eating at this wonderful cafe.
