True hidden gem on the beach!

We randomly found this small warung while walking along the beach — and it turned out to be one of our favorite spots in all of Indonesia. It's local, peaceful, and full of charm. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming. 🌴

We had the fresh coconut and cold Bintang 🥥 But the real highlight was the seafood — we had grilled fish, prawns, and calamari, and everything was unbelievably fresh and flavorful. The fish was perfectly grilled, the prawns juicy, and the calamari tender — honestly the best meal we’ve had on the island. You can really taste the love and care they put into every dish. 🐟🦐🦑

The place is shaded by beautiful trees, with cozy seating right on the sand — perfect for relaxing after a swim or watching the sunset.

This warung was recommended to me by a friend to go here for an amazing grilled fish dinner and I wasn't disappointed to say the least. This place is located in the perfect setting on beautiful Nipah Beach known for it's white sands, crystal blue water and amazing sunsets. It's a traditional local warung run by the owners Zedan and his wife Marne. Zedan is a local fisherman and catches the fish daily so the fish is always fresh. They serve local traditonal food which is homemade and made from fresh ingredients locally sourced. Not only is the food amazing here but the hospitality shown to guests by the owners is out of this world.

I highly recommend this place for their great food, friendly atmosphere and the best sunset on the island.

Had dinner yesterday at Warung Ikan Bakar Arlan (Ibu Mar) — what an experience. It’s not the kind of place you just stumble upon; it’s one of those hidden gems you only find because someone local tells you about it.

We went there with someone we met during our trip, which made it even more special. The grilled fish was simple but absolutely delicious — fresh, smoky, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Nothing fancy, just honest, good food made with care.

It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome right away. Humble setting, plastic chairs, big smiles — and food that stays with you.
