Warung ikan bakar bapak Ehsan — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

Our tour driver brought us here. We had asked for “a nice beach to snorkel, somewhere to relax and get some food and drink, and not too far from Holiday Hotel Lombok”. This place delivered 110% The snorkelling was good. Beach clean, coral reef, snorkel rental if needed, large comfy bean bags to sit on the beach, or a good seating area under the shade. This restaurant is one of a row of them along the beach. Eshan was really hospitable and we had a few laughs. The ladies cooking were cheerful and friendly, and there was Grandad too.. We had Nasi Goreng with chicken satay and a Mi Goreng with chicken satay. We are on day 11 of our holiday and this is some of the tastiest food we’ve had.

We went back again the following day. Had the same food with the addition of prawn satay skewers. Really yummy, slightly spicey with chili oil but delicious. Our friend had the fish which he said was delicious!

When we come back to Indonesia….. we will come back...

Incredibly tasty food, served by the friendliest couple we have met on Lombok. Excellent hospitality, I can't praise the food and service in this place enough. Ikan bakar, cumi and ayam were all fresh and delicious. The owners also helped us get a taxi back to our place, when we had issues with our phone. If visiting Nippah beach, this warung is a must for a tasty meal (and sunset view, in a peaceful spot). From speaking with the owner, snorkelling is also recommended in this area, with a chance of seeing turtles. We look forward to coming back here when we return to Lombok...

We met Eshan at Nipah Villas where he was working as the sole chef and waiter. My friends and I really enjoyed the vegan friendly food he made us. We then went to his Warung and were blown away by the views! It’s located right on the beach, tucked quite far away from the road so would have been impossible to find if he we hadn’t met him. You don’t get much more local than this. He is a very friendly and charismatic guy. He really puts in the effort to make you feel welcome and the food was delicious and so fresh! Please pay him and his family a visit if you are staying...
