I would highly recommend and suggest Qasr Ateeq to all those who want to try genuine Iranian and Iraqi cuisine in Mashhad. I was there last year November 2018 and I had to go again during my trip in September 2019. Qasr Ateeq also have western food (fast food) but I believe you should ask if it’s available - but believe me, try middle eastern dishes there!
The place is close to the Holy Shrine - which means the food is hygiene and of top notch quality. The prices are decent and the quality of service is amazing. I was always dearly greeted by the waiters. Also, most of the waiters can speak both Arabic and Farsi, and there are a few who also speak decent English so that’s a bonus point.
Their lemon mojitos are the best - sometimes I’d have 3 in a day. Also, the food does not take time which really adds up to the good side of Qasr Ateeq. Just ask how many people can have a specific meal because the portion of most of the dishes is huge (which is a very good advantage).
Lastly, the atmosphere is really friendly and heart warming. The place is friendly to children and also it caters to private family cabins which is wonderful to see. You cannot find such a decent and lovely area near the Holy Shrine.. believe me.
Also, if you’re thirsty just pop in to Qasr Ateeq cause they always serve free chai/tea to anyone who passes by haha!...
