Sky Lounge — Restaurant in Tehran

We had a presidential suite room there at Espinas palace, so we decided to have dinner upstairs at skylounge. But was told that we have to wait because it's fully book. Maybe they can do what other countries are doing in a busy hotel. They can accept 60% of reservation inside their restaurant from non guest, then reserve the other 40% seats free or available for their hotel guest. So their hotel guest can have priority. Guest goes to hotel to feel home not to be rejected. Most of the dinners are non guest. They should check their protocols regarding this, and or increase their percentage when it's peak season. Make 40% available for non guest, and 60% available for guest. I informed the female staff about our room. (Presidential suite) their most expensive room. Still I was told that no seat for us to have dinner, (shocking) the polite me ofcourse didn't complain but this is a turn off. Most staffs are polite, good job. But still need more trainings to be aligned within the excellent customers service skills. Except for the female staff who handles the phone calls. She has the cordless landline with her always. She doesn't have the etiquette for a good customer service. She hangs up on me twice. And she was never polite to my Husband who pays for everything. We had a staycation even we have pur own house there, because we want to relax more and dine in style. But that female staff destroys our night. Too disappointing. Many staffs are really great. She destroys the image of the other good and hard working staffs. Was there Christmas eve until Christmas day to celebrate Christmas. (I'm a foreigner in Iran) That lady has no idea how much we paid just to enjoy and she just ruined our staycation. Anyway, it's fine, nothing is perfect. No problem. still 4 star for me because of the food, environment, and the presentation. Heads up to the good chef. Oh speaking of chef, I asked that same lady to ask the chef if the sauce of the steak can be separated on the side. (Plate it beside the steak because I'm not sure if I will like the taste, so if its on the side, Atleast I can still enjoy the steak without it.) She didn't bother to ask the chef, she immediately rudely said NO. Not possible, oh my, in other countries this attitude is really not acceptable. Anyway, still we tried to enjoy the place and the food and just forget about her. The taste and selection of Asian food was great. Presentation is also great. But the steak was not really up to international standards. Plus our first selection of steak was not available. But it's alright, no complaints at all. Ambiance and vibe is really really superb. Thumbs up for that. I will come back again and again, hoping not to be served by that lady again. Menu is amazing. I wanna give 5 stars, but because of that lady, I decided 4. When u go there, make sure to call first for a reservation. Enjoy their good food...

I went with high expectation and return with disappointment. After so much struggle, finally got reservation for dinner. Just to point out, when you are going to one of the most expensive hotels in the city to dine, you expect to get best experience from enterance up to the last seconds of your meal.

The parking lot was just a disaster and worst than that was a cheap and damaged elevator. Upon the arrival, there was no one at the enterance to guide you inside. You have to walk to the middle of the restaurant to their receptionist. They do not offer any of the expected services like coat check, table servie and etc.

The next issue with the lounge was, they assigned a lounge chairs with dinning table for dinner reservation. Basically you are sittig on low height chairs and have a regular table infront of you and when they serve the foods, the plate is just infront of your face. It was more like a tourture than dinner.

They are selling medium quality foods with high prices and they think people don't know what they are doing. I've ordered the Prawn King for the appetizer and got 3 pieces of reqular Prawn. Ordered the steak with medium rare cook and got thin slices of cold meat. Ordered the Salmon and got a terrible food with no seasoning.

The worst thing that the food is the prices and their attitude. If you are telling people you are luxurious restaurant, don't just act like it. Make it happen. Serve good quality food with high standards and satisfy the people needs.

My overall experience was to taste the worst food in my whole life, dine in a luxurious look place with super low standards and vibes. I won't visit this place ever again and I highly recommend people who value their time and money,...
