Fay Cafe — Restaurant in Baghdad

Today we visited the restaurant for the first time . I asked for ice cream . The waiter was like we serve it only with cake. I explained that I am allergic to gluten thus I can’t have cakes. I asked him if he can serve me the ice cream only . He was like no. I asked if he can check with chef a/o the manager , he totally refused to ask. However after some time the waiter came back apologizing and confirmed he checked with the manger and he accepted to serve the ice cream . The taste of it was way below average , so I don’t recommend. Btw I informed him that I am writing an honest review. My friends asked for coffee and shisha their feedback was both tasted good. Very nice ambiance, classy atmosphere, very busy, nice outdoor seating , pricy We paid 65,000 IQD for 2 shisha, ice...

I've been there before for dinner & liked it so much... I wanted to try the breakfast... So I chose the English breakfast.. It was ok.. but the seasoning on the potato was too much that I couldn't eat'em... the tea/juice is not included with the price of the meal "for no obvious reason"... however the orange juice was perfect The staff were friendly... but I felt they were still sleepy coz I kept reminding them that we ordered tea.. we ordered water .. etc My friend ordered french brwakfast... the avocado with a sauce (not sure of its name) was delicious.. and a piece of bread soaked in olive oil was also a nice touch The place & atmosphere were excellent as usual... I am sure I'll visit again.. but propably not...

I went their in Ramadan, precisely on 13 April.

Unfortunately, my experience was extremely terrible.

The appetizers were good but the main dishes were eatable only but not delicious, they weren’t worthy the price we paid after all. Besides me and two of my friends got poisoned at the same time!

The place was crowded with no privacy at all because the tables were too near to each other.

The service also was bad, not wanna go through the details.

I heard better stuff about the place but...
