Gallagher's of Bunratty couldn't have been a better venue for our wedding from our initial dealings with them, to the great support in the days leading up to the wedding and on the day and afterwards collecting all our decorations. My groom Paweł set me the impossible task of finding a wedding venue that could offer a seafood menu, so I was delighted when we found one in Clare so close to my parents’ home with such a great reputation for food excellence locally. The groom Paweł had said he always dreamed of having octopus on his wedding day and Gallagher's made him an amazing dish just for him that was so delicious he's still talking about (and they wrote out the recipe for him too!). Our menu was amazing, we had some nervous fussy people and lots of allergies and Gallagher's were fantastic at managing it all. Our friends and family raved about how delicious our menu was (especially the people who had steak!), and many have said they intend to go back for dinner there again soon. Our canapes + our afters were similarly delicious; my only regret is that we had so much food we couldn’t eat everything they prepared that night so we had a lot left over! We also have a few Guinness + craft Beer snobs among our Galway friends but they all loved Gallagher’s, so we were delighted to see so many pints being drank on the day! Gallagher’s even helped us with lots of special requests like bringing specific themed tableplans + placecards + incorporating some elements like signature cocktails for us, they were very supportive and willing to help, and did a great coat check too which was great and arranged microphones etc! They also were great at recommending contacts for wedding ceremony venues in the area (we did ours in Ardcroney Church inside Bunratty Folk Park). They sometimes have someone playing their piano during dinner, so we arranged for their usual person Catherine Clohessy to play during the evening and she was amazing to hear during the drink’s receptions + dinner, lovely touch (and very affordable!). We had notions of doing a dessert table to showcase Polish cakes + desserts, and Gallagher’s again have such an eye for layout, it looked fantastic when it was done, and everyone was taking photos of it! Gallagher’s went above and beyond when it came to the beauty of the venue on the day, Gallagher’s organised a lot of fresh flowers on their own (that we didn’t pay for!) and changed the tables/chairs around to accommodate our table plan and removed booths, and it looked beautiful on the day. We received some of the best compliments about the venue itself, with one of our friends regretting their own hotel wedding as they loved ours so much! Our wedding was a Polish/Irish wedding and Gallagher’s were so nice about making sure they had a polish speaking waitress on the grooms parents table to make them feel comfortable, and they also printed menus with polish characters for the names etc (which isn’t on Irish keyboards so is nice gesture!). I really can’t thank them enough, and I would encourage any couple looking to get married in Clare to give them a look as having worked in weddings and been in the service industry for year, I can’t recommend...

Firstly there was no wheelchair parking. I have walking difficulties(just after spinal surgery)and was amazed that not one space in font of the restaurant was wheelchair designated. For the wheelchair bound Gallaghers is not wheelchair friendly. Now to the food.. We were a group of 6 for the lunch menu. The soup was veg and was good. The chowder was over powered with smoked cod and not a mussel or any shellfish in sight. Plus over thickened with potato. 2 of us had the prawns they were tasty but were smothered in a heavy breaded crust and a bit cold! The wait between starter and main was very long..... Main course, for a seafood restaurant it was lacking in seafood, maybe its kept for the evening trade?? Anyway, 2 of us has lemon sole which again was smothered in batter, had no lemon flavour and no lemon provided. It was mediocure at best. 2 had salmon which you cant really go wrong with it, it was cooked well, not over done. One of us had the steak done medium which was cooked medium with a nice light red centre, flavoursome and cut like butter. And lastly a typical Sunday lunch if roast beef, it was fine. Deserts we had were panna cotta, a sticky toffee pudding and lemon meringue pie. All were edible but very mediocure. With a few cappuccinos 1 beer, 3 house white wines, 3 sprites, 2 apple juices and tea the bill was approx €270 The staff were very pleasant and helpful. But over all we wont be rushing back anytime soon. After we got home we happen to look at the bill and noticed we were charged for 2 bottles of wine! My husband rang and they refunded the €39...

My husband & I ate at JP Clarke's Pub on Sun night. The food is not your ordinary pub-grub, altho they do have burgers & fish & chips. It's Pub food with a twist. I enjoyed my chicken bacon wrap with lettuce & tomato. But rather than plain mayo, it came with caesar dressing & pesto sauce. It was really good. My husband had the fish & chips (I think) with panko. They came out quite crispy. We both liked our rocket salad with dressing. We finished with sticky toffee pudding. Yum!! They had several specials & craft beers. We'll definitely be back & bring our friends. We live several hours away, but will next time we're in the area, we'll def pop in. So many things we'd like to try on their menu. After dinner we went next door to Gallagher's Seafood for a drink. It's owned by the same ppl & is a warm cozy thatched cottage. Two...

Pretty decorated dishes and amazing taste. Portions are not enormous but there are good deals for 3 and 2 courses meals. Small selection of wines - only 4 reds in the menu. Meat and fish taste great and well prepared. Good atmosfere also. Staff is excellent.
