I've never been treated as poorly in any restaurant before. I called in personally to book a table. The only time available was 8:30 PM. I told the restaurant I would call if that was a problem. However, I called back 5 minutes later, in person, to confirm the booking. When we arrived at the restaurant we were given some fairy story about me phoning and cancelling. This was simply not true. I was told we would be given a table. I was taking my 77 year old father here and he was standing for over 20 minutes before we got him a seat. Finally we were ushered to a wonky table beside the toilets. Honestly, why would anyone want to sit next to the toilets. I brought this up to what I assumed was the manager and he shrugged his shoulders as he didn't care. I can't help thinking it was because we were from the North. There was a couple in after us who got taken to a table upstairs. Sometimes you experience that free state mentality towards people from the North. Safe to say we'll not...

Our family recently visited The Edge in Lahinch, hoping for a nice, relaxing meal, but we left really disappointed. First, the wait time was much longer than expected, even though the restaurant wasn’t full. When we finally got seated, we had to keep asking for basics like water and menus, which felt frustrating, especially with a young child getting restless.

The menu looked promising, but the food was really underwhelming. My dish was lukewarm, and my partner’s meal was bland and poorly presented. We asked if there were any kid-friendly options, but there weren’t many choices – and what we did order for our child came out far too hot and took forever to cool down, making it difficult to keep them occupied.

To top it off, the staff seemed inattentive and rushed. While the location itself is lovely, it felt like families weren’t really a priority here. There are plenty of places in Lahinch where you can get a better meal and friendlier service – we won’t be returning...

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my engagement at The Edge Bar in Lahinch, and I can't express enough how incredible Heidi, Aideen, and the entire staff were.

From when I first arrived them to book a place at the start of the week of the engagement, they went above and beyond to ensure our night was unforgettable. They took care of everything, including arranging photography to capture our special moments on the beach, serving delicious food, and providing a wonderful selection of wine.

Their attention to detail was remarkable; they even surprised us with lovely cards to commemorate the occasion. The staff's accommodating nature made us feel truly special, allowing us to relax and enjoy the celebration together. I highly recommend The Edge Bar for any special event—Heidi, Aideen, and their team will leave no stone unturned to make your experience memorable!

Thanks again guys, we really appreciate all the effort you put...

Stopped for lunch due to impressive reviews but this appears to be slightly exaggerated. My experience started off when I went to the bathroom to wash my hands - no soap, no paper towels and no working hand dryer. Back at the table we had to furnish ourselves with water glasses and cutlery from a vacant nearby table, since the server was busy and nowhere around. The orders were eventually taken and the first plates delivered - the chowder was nice though the dry, crumbly brown bread was not to my liking. The goats cheese was devoured - very nice. Unfortunately clearing the plates took an odd 10 minutes - not enough hands on deck. The second plates were nice, namely the chicken curry, falafel burger and chicken tenders. So overall it was ok, but I would be hard pressed to remember this place.

Atmosphere was lovely! Staff were nice and friendly and very welcoming. We had mussels for starters which were delicious. Same can be said for the salmon main course, crispy skin with mouth watering salmon and prawns. One of us got a steak sandwich but we found the steak left a lot to be desired. Kids meals were good sizes and the chips were delicious. We ordered a Coke Zero but they had none or any other alternative sugar free soft drinks which was frustrating but they did have diluted drinks and water. Our daughter tried mussels for the first time here too so a testament to how nice they were. Overall we really enjoyed the experience. Staff were very friendly
