If I could give a 10 star for the service, I would do that. We were EXTREMELY happy with how the guys made our dinner even nicer than it actually was. Kindness, professionalism, smiles, constantly checking on us to double check that everything was ok. As soon as we got into the restaurant hall we were welcomed by a smiling bar tender, who gave a great kickstart to our evening. Then all the other guys worked as a true, cohesive and gelled team. Honestly, it’s not that common to see such a high level of synergy in a restaurant. I can say this was maybe the best service we have ever experienced. And we visit lots of restaurants. Way to go, guys!
Food is also delicious. We got the black pudding with barbecued prawns: top notch! And the octopus was so tasty and meaty. It’s not easy to cook octopus but the chef here is very talented and he/she managed to render it really tender. Then the fish and chips: gorgeous. The creme brûlée was AMAZING, along with the shortbreads I fell in love with.
Definitely a happy, very happy, experience. The atmosphere has a very good vibe and you understand how much a restaurant is good also by its customers. Last but not least: the view of the ocean… especially today, so romantic! I’m happy we’re locals and will visit again soon.

Blurb about chips being cooked in beef dripping etc. The fish, unsure as to what type it actually was, was itself OK, almost certain it was fresh, and crumbles away nicely. The batter that housed it however,left a lot to be desired, soggy, devoid of any flavour whatsoever and oozing with oil. Same with the accompanying tartare sauce, bland, simple as that. Had this dish been priced at the 14 to 16 euro mark, I don't think I would have felt as aggrieved, but 20 euro is absolutely ridiculous. Atmosphere was completely absent, now the restaurant itself was empty while we were there , but no background ambience as in music playing. Another poor decision was the lack of air conditioning, whatever about the customers, but for the staff, it would make working extremely uncomfortable. That was ok, we ordered our food and enjoyed the great weather while they were serving the rest of the tables. We thought our order could be bigger (4 people) and this could be the reason for the delay. Any way the tables were all being served and after 45 min I decided to go inside to see what was happening with our order. Then the waiter told me the order didn't go in to the kitchen. This kind of waiters should not be at this job. The two waiters had 8 tables. ( Weren't serving inside) It's a pitty to have this kind of staff working in a sutch a good located restaurant.
