I had a wonderful time at Gaynor’s. Stopped in on a rainy, cold day and enjoyed delicious vegetable soup and a warm fire. The best part was chatting with Nora, who made us feel right at home while also offering sage advice and wisdom. I can’t wait to visit again.

Amazingly friendly pub, with amazing views. They went out of their way to show a rugby game we wanted to watch and they even made me tea!!!! EVERYONE said goodbye to us when we left. Will definitely be back to visit (preferably when I'm not driving a coach!!!!!)

Breda, thank you so much for the generosity of your time explaining the back story of The Field to my Australian friend today. I'm sure you're blue in the face doing it. But it was much appreciated. The toasted ham and cheese was the best I've had in years and I'm no spring chicken. See you again soon...

Wonderful place with wonderful friendly local people , the landlady brida (probably spelt that wrong 😚) and the local people went out of their way to help me trace my family roots there. And of course the memories of the famous film " The Field" are all around too. I will return again. Thank you for your...

Lovely clean local pub yet always happy to see tourists. Note the caps on the ceiling. There is a pool table and dartboard. Coffee and various cold alcoholic and soft drinks available. Toilets are lovely and clean. Lots of free parking nearby. Outside seating. Lovely old photos...
