Below par food. Untrained and confused staff. And over an hour from booking time to getting food. Not a pleasant experience. Tried to walk in at 6.30pm and were told they were fully booked for the evening but clearly there were tables free. Got a booking online for 7.15pm. We were seated after some confusion and left for 30 minutes with no cutlery, no drinks and no one to take our order. The table beside us was left for 40 minutes before being cleared off. We had to ask the wait staff to take our order. We were a full hour waiting for food, despite there being plenty of tables free so clearly the restaurant wasn't fully booked, as we had been told. The drinks order came wrong, the kids main dish arrived before the starter and was also wrong. We had to ask for more drinks from three staff, then two staff arrived with the same drinks order one after the other. Having waited 20 minutes after our main course was finished, we decided not to wait around for desserts or coffee. Having asked for the bill, we were left standing around while the wait staff seated one table and then took for another tables bill before ours. Staff were friendly but clearly not trained properly. Despite three staff being at our table numerous times, they failed to notice or clear the table beside us as they left our table empty handed. Food was very plain and not Italian restaurant standard. Kids left to run wild and the music was clearly played louder to cover the noise. I get it's centre parks and child friendly but this was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAgain, one of the nice eating venues in Center Parcs, but don't expect much of the quality of food being served here. The service is friendly and we were nicely accommodated. We had bruschetta and chicken wings for starter, which was a bit dry, and we had a seafood pasta and a seafood risotto for main. The seafood was cooked nicely, but the shells of the mussels were cracked and bits of it were found only when you were chewing on them. The tomato sauce is definitely from a can and the risotto lacked a bit of flavour and was too lemony, however the risotto itself was cooked well. Being a bit picky here, but I know my food and love good quality, and this food didn't reach the standard for me. The venue itself is nice and there is a nice "soft play" area for the kids if you want to eat your dinner in a bit more peace. Edit: check the bill before you pay! I happen to pay the bill of someone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was so disappointed with our meal last night. After being ignored by wait staff for about 5 minutes while waiting to be seated, it started off promising with our two bookings being merged into one, however we quickly realised the seats we had meant half our party would be facing huge windows with no blinds as the sun was beaming through. I had to sit in sunglasses before I eventually gave up and made room on the bench facing away from the sun.
Service was ridiculously slow, got our drink order wrong twice, served my sonās milk in a dirty glass and didnāt come over to ask about more drinks but instead we had to catch while walking past. The food was average and overall we left feeling very disappointed especially being a fan of Bella Italia in the past and frequently eating at other restaurants.
I plan to return to the Center Parcs, however I will not be...
