I am delighted that this gorgeous area of Ireland has not only has a cafe, but also one of note. This is the only real deal for miles in every direction: so worthwhile if you are traveling through or just unaware of this local treasure. The Cafe, located on the campus of the Sligo Folk Park in Riverstown, has a dedicated owner/barista who brews only with high quality organic beans. Stewart is finicky and precise about his brew times and temperatures. It is currently a one man show, as he only opened a couple of months ago, so I would recommend calling for times. He is closed weekends until the summer tourist season. You can have a bargain of a lunch, while reading from the library and enjoying the bright dining room.
