Myself and 2 lady friends booked a table at Grogan's on Sat 29th March for an early Mother's Day treat. All went well even though place was busy and service was not as good as expected from previous visits. Bill was paid in full not split in 3, got the receipt without checking it. A day after I looked over the receipt and realise we were overcharged by €27.90 , see bill below. The 3 of us ordered 2 starters to share (we got charged for 6 items on the starter section instead of two, 4 lil slices of bread was brought to the table without us asking for it and we got charged €6.50 for it) 3 mains, few drinks and 2 desserts to share. CCTV was directed at our table so it is easy to check. Afterwards i ve rang them and let them know about the situation and requested a refund ofcourse (i was ready to accept a voucher for that amount to spend it in there too). I was told the manager will contact me shortly, no one rang me back and now they are not answering my calls. Such a pity...shameful for your business to deceive and scam your customers...Bad bad form for €28... So yes, whoever reads this review please check carefully your bills at the end, it seems they are not very honest and trustworthy...
Read moreWe went here for a long planned family event and having gone there back in early 2000s and hearing great things around the traps.
We were all very disappointed with the food. The seafood monkfish dish was a plate of wet steamed fish drenched in butter. The prawns were overcooked (with skin on)..The pork belly was tough, overcooked and the accompanying items on the plate were confusing and did not work at all.
The menu here looked fantastic and we were very shocked with the poor quality of food which comes at a high price. It is clear to me that the chef on duty here at this time is very poor at his/her job and needs to be replaced.
The shining light here are some of the staff. The girl who served us was fantastic and beyond friendly. No matter how many sides we asked for, she smiled and belped us out. This type of service and level of friendliness deserves to be rewarded.
This is not a restaurant, it is a pub..
For these types of prices we expect restaurant food NOT overpriced pub food.
We would not spend our money here again unless having a lunch soup and a beer.
Thanks again to the junior staff & waiters.

Read moreWe had such a wonderful experience at this Irish pub! From the moment we arrived, the ambience and atmosphere were spot on—warm, inviting, and lively without being overwhelming. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and even though we hadn’t reserved a table, they managed to seat us on the terrace.
For starters, we shared two salads, both of which were fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. For mains, we went with the chicken and the Korean-style salmon. Both dishes were outstanding: the chicken was juicy and tender, while the salmon was cooked to perfection with a beautifully balanced sauce that gave it just the right amount of kick.
On top of that, we received three additional side dishes to share—crispy fries, perfectly cooked vegetables, and a fragrant saffron rice—that rounded out the meal beautifully. Every plate that came to the table felt well-prepared and thoughtfully put together.
Overall, I was genuinely impressed by the combination of high-quality food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. This pub exceeded expectations in every way, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Irish...
