Romayo's Cornelscourt — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

Delivery only never eaten in. Whoever is answering the phones has an appalling mannerism. They seem to have difficulty with communication and come across as being abrasive and rude. This has led to two consecutive orders being delivered incorrectly and phonecalls with said abrasive employee who insisted we were at fault. If calls are recorded as advertised please ask staff to listen back before making accusations/placing the blame on customers. The food is below par and not delivered as hot as it should be, almost as though it's not stored in a hot bag in transit. Chips: half cold and gone to the consistency of microwaved chips the morning after. Battered sausage: soggy/undercooked (no vinegar to blame this on either) and again half cold. Hamburger: ye you guessed it... half cold and rubbery.

It was always a close call between Aldo's and Libros, Aldo's creeping ahead due to larger menu options and quality across the board plus the lads who owned it/worked there were sound Libros a guilty pleasure because of the crispy split battered sausage, but under the Romayo's banner it's gone to the dogs. We order takeaway quite regularly and in 6 years I'd only had 1 issue with Aldo's which they genuinely couldn't have been more apologetics and helpful with. I got excited all day to go to Romayo's for my dinner. I was hanging out with my friend in shankill who was going to get a bus to romayo's while I cycled. I am massively over competitive so I cycled my little heart out to beat my friend in a race who got the bus. This didn't work to my favour as when I arrived I was completely out of breath and on the verge of vomiting, I had no appetite but at least I won the race. I really didn't want to eat I exhausted myself so much, but I knew I had been looking forward to it all day and made the journey so pretty much had to.

So I ordered a veggie kebab and a can of pepsi. As I ordered the cashier said "that will be 2000......hahaha I'm only joking". It's so strange because I this is a joke I have only ever had in chippers. I've had the exact same joke happen to me in both Aprile and Liberos. Why is it only people selling chips like making jokes about the food being outrageous prices it's not. But I've never seen a cashier this happy to make the joke, it made me happy to see the cashier this happy.

When I got the kebab, I just said loads of curse words in a mildy sexual manner because it really was an explosion of the most tantalizing flavours. Really...

Would give zero stars if possible Food was terrible, chips were very dry seemed like reheats from yesterday, burger lousy, kebab was like a swamp in a box. The delivery driver was extremely disrespectful over the phone, he arrived 15mins earlier than the scheduled time and threatened to drive off. As it was an order for a business there was a clear note to instruct the driver to call when leaving so I can meet him at the entrance but got a call when he was 1 min away and threatened to drive off if I wasn't there in 2mins and hung up the phone on me multiple times.
