The Wishing Well — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

This bar was on my list of places to go to. On a sunny Sunday afternoon I reccomeded this venue to my wife and friend. We sat outside for lunch. There were an unruly group seated on the elevated beer garden who verbally abusive and broadcasted their verbal opinion to the rest of the beer garden about other patrons physiques. This continued throughout the lunch monitored by a bar man who was "keeping an eye on the group" this behaviour was tolerated for 2 hours. No apologies from the staff who were definitely uncomfortable with the situation. The group were finally ejected from the establishment with one of the group stating please keep it down this is where my parents drink. Very disappointing the standard of food being served with such a lovely outdoor setting. I ordered the steak sandwich medium which was most definitely well done. It lacked any kind of seasoning the ciabata bread was dry and could do with some garlic butter, the pepper sauce was a ridiculously small portion.My partner ordered the lasagne which was sub standard. We then asked for a chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding the chocolate cake was fine but the sticky toffee pudding was cold, hard and dry, the presentation was very thrown together. The service was absolutely shocking we had to sit and wait for periods of time before having to get up and find a staff member to take our drinks order. Went here for food and to watch the premier league. I appreciate it was a busy Sunday but the service was horrific. Sat down in the lounge and received no menu after 20 minutes. After retrieving my own menu, and awaiting another 20 minutes I decided to go up got the bar to ask for food service. Another 10 minutes passed and a young waitress took our order. She had to come back to our table because she “forgot” what we ordered. The same thing happened to the table beside us! The food was okay, but didn’t even arrive with cutlery at first.
