Zambrero Cherrywood — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

I walk in they welcome me like a king and serve me like one too. A1 service by this crew. Makes you want to come to them and no other Zambrero. Cherrywood location numero uno people. Manager is the man of the people and knows how to be with his people and staff are friendly and helpful too. Food is an absolute delish of a dish to put upon your hands and treat yourself. I’m part of the furniture at this stage.

Went to order a meal, asked the staff prior to ordering if my free meal voucher had any terms and conditions or restrictions, I was told no. I proceeded to order. I requested two items, a medium burrito and a large burrito bowl. Upon going to pay I was then told it’s the smaller item I get for free and I’ve to pay for the larger item. After asking before ordering if there’s any terms and conditions or restrictions or specific requirements for my voucher, I was surprised of this. I then went back out of the shop to get more money, I arrived back to the shop with additional money, at this point I was then told I’ve to pay extra for guacamole even with the free meal voucher as this isn’t added into the free meal voucher. I then asked specifically what does the voucher include so I can know for future and for any other customers as I couldn’t find it on the website. A free meal voucher via squid app includes a regular item with no extras on it or in it, if ordering more than one single item then the smaller of multiple items on the order is given free and larger items are chargeable and if anything has extras on it even with it being the free item then those said extra items are chargeable, too top it off they took my free voucher that I never...

After a week of work you just want a great meal to end it on high. I ordered a toasted burrito for me and a bowl for my wife. We both got black rice . When we got home we both took a bite, "oh the rice is crunchy" we said, thinking it may have been some burnt rice from the bottom of the bowl, no worries that can happen. No, every single grain of rice was hard and uncooked. Our meal was absolutely ruined. Our money wasted. Went to Zambrero, and Maria, the manager, was unbelievably rude and very weird her words towards us was lowkey threatening to make us feel scared or some type of way. Asked for extra toppings, got practically nothing. The burrito was cold and dry. Maria clearly doesn't care about customers or the food and paying 20 quid to get something that wasn’t made from heart. ❗️Avoid this place if she's working.
