Romayo's Diner Royal Canal Park — Restaurant in Dublin

As a regular customer of Romayos in Ashtown, I made an order on the 2nd of April 2025 at around 7:45pm, and ordered at the kiosk with my usual order which is the 3 piece chicken thighs meal. As soon as I paid, one of the staff (named Ana) approached me saying that they have no 3x chicken thighs for now and would have to wait 15mins as there is limited quantity and said they only have wings & breast chicken pieces which I never really order. So I decided to change my order instead, but what really caught me off guard was that she made such a rude comment after about my previous order saying that I should never order 3 pieces chicken thighs and should choose other pieces instead. I have never experienced a staff telling me so rudely what I should order, I choose the thigh pieces because it provided an option which pieces you would prefer, if that was the case you should have never advertised the options for chicken pieces if your staff will just dictate what customers should order. I usually never have a problem when they tell me that there are no more of the pieces I order, but this certain staff was very rude about it which was very disappointing. Love the restaurant as you know, but please do yourself a favour. Install a light in the bathroom please, extremely dangerous going in there with no light. My wife has a balance problem, had to stand in the hallway.And leave the door open, so she could use the bathroom.That's a little bit ridiculous. Going on 2 weeks now hasn't been fixed. I'm sure a big chain like yourself can manage to put in a light bulb into the bathroom,please. I'm sure you don't want to be claimed for a fall. It has been mentioned a couple of times but it feels like it's been on deaf ears. It's a Risk factor Cos when you shut the door you're in the dark what are you supposed to do. And the last thing your television in there is always breaking down. And the last thing, is allowing electric scooters to go into your premises and loads of them outside the doorway , somebody falls over them who's gonna be liable. It's on your premises. And allowing loads of youths in there at times that are just sitting over a drink and gangs of them in there what kind of a restaurant is it. We're ordering here on regular basis. Quality of the food is really good and the extras (add cheese, no sauce etc.) are generally followed. Prices have gone up a bit lately but this has been the case for almost every take-away place we've looked at.

Update (06/2022): Unfortunately this is no longer a 5 star take away in our eyes. We used to order there a lot (3-4 times a month) and were generally quite happy and impressed but I don't know if the management changed recently or what happened but 3 of the last 4 orders had issues. We normally order for 4 people so if almost everything for 1 person is missing that's disappointing. Had to ring up every time and were promised compensation (didn't happen the first time) or the driver was sent out again (again, not ideal if 1 person has to wait).
