Freda's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Limerick

Iv been a customer for years as i live locally but im done for sure now ,

I was waiting for 10-15 mins without even being acknowledged, two staff working and one looked me in the eye 4 separate times without asking what i was going to order,

There was 3 customers in the shop... one staff member had just finished her shift she was standing at the door chatting to the two working

The girl that made eye contact proceeded to load the fridge up with coke instead of taking my order.... there was plenty drinks in the machine to last the next hour i would think

Why was i waiting that long to give my order for all they knew i was going to gave to order something that would take another 10 mins to cook... i ended up walking out after realising they hadnt served 2 of the other customers.....

Its supposed to be fast food right?

Friendly service right?

I would recommend going...

Went here before one night..checked Google and it said it was open...got to the takeaway and tried to order a burger and was met with we aren't making them now we are closing....I said oh sorry Google said ye are open and the worker and other customers we like cmere dnt mine dat googly tin tal tal they no nattin we have some chicken sausages or a Couple of fish if you want them....then 2 others walked in and took most of what was left...comical really....might try it again sometime but I'll ask someone on the street first what time they are open instead of looking on...

Love this take away. The inside of take away service staff always have behind the counter immaculate and clean the ladies that work there are so friendly!

Definitely work hard for their money. There would be a que of people lined up and I have seen hungry looking kids who maybe short a couple of cents not made feel bad. But a quite smile & nod and an little extra chips in the bag discretely put in.

For this reason alone I would definitely stop in here...and have done again and again. They are just fantastic people...
