Wheat Bar and Bistro — Restaurant in The Borough District of Clonmel

Won't come again.

We came for lunch and sat down. Firstly, we weren't approached by anyone whatsoever, as one would expect, given the nature of the environment (a fancy looking hotel restaurant). Considering we had never been there before, we couldn't have known they currently had their "self service" hours. Someone could have at least come to us and explained, instead of walking around and looking at us, saying nothing. Secondly, the staff were really bold, from the guy serving us water, to the chef at the hot bar. Not the best experience.

I have to say that the amount of food to the price is very good. Large portions, good taste, fills you up and not overpriced.

But because of the lack of attention, dare I say, indifference of the staff, we will not be coming back to this restaurant. (deli bar) Perhaps people who don't love the job shouldn't work in...

The service was Good the server was very helpful and attentive. We had pork and the chicken spring roll for starter both excellent. The pork was tender and tasty. The spring rolls had great texture and flavor little bit too much mayo on the plate. for main course, we had the pasta with chorizo and tiger prawn and the ribeye. we enjoy both of our main course steak was cooked perfectly. Food is nice if you have patience. I waited 15 mins to get served. I then had to ask for a glass of wine 3 times. Tortured experience. It’s missing a manager to marshal the staff. Basically they are busy being happy having the chats but missing the reason they are employed. Take care of the guests… pls they won’t keep coming back with such...
