Ordered two flat whites, a chicken and pesto roll and a carmelita. Both coffees were long drank before the food came out. If they had not been drank by this point, they would’ve been stone cold. People who both ordered and sat down after myself and my father were served before us. The staff apologised to them for the wait but did not apologise to me even though I had waited far longer. A simple apology costs nothing. The sandwich had very little filling compared to other cafes I have visited. The bread was far too crispy and my jaw still hurts 4-5 hours after eating this. This is coming for a woman in her 20s with a full set of teeth. I noticed another table where a person who also previously ordered a sandwich only scooped the filling out, leaving the bread behind. A woman in her 30s ordered a similar sandwich and threw half the bread to the very friendly cat in the area. She ate the sandwich filling on the bottom half of the bread. I usually hate writing unfavourable reviews of places but I did have a generally unpleasant experience. I was at the point of walking inside to cancel my order due to the long wait time. The only reason I didn’t was because I could hear a member of staff mention the table number to a colleague. An apology after waiting 20-30 minutes for a simple pre-made sandwich in a fridge really wouldn’t have gone amiss. Two empty cups of coffee should’ve been a non verbal cue to the waiter. It also appears that I’m not the only one who had an issue with the bread after observing other two other tables; one of which was occupied and the other which had plates and cups left on it since before we sat down. I’d like to see the cafe address this in the future but will I ever go here again? I can’t...

Read moreI visited on a Saturday when it was very busy and seemed under-staffed.
I ordered the pastrami toasted sandwich, while the bread was crisp on the outside, the inside was stone cold, and as you can see in the photo, the cheese hadn’t melted. This was quite disappointing.
I also had an iced caramel latte, which was fine but not really worth the price. It was €14.40 for the pastrami toasted sandwich and the iced caramel coffee. My friend ordered the berry smoothie bowl, she thought it was very watery and not as thick as she’d hoped it to be.
Perhaps the experience would be better on a quieter day, but unfortunately this is how it was...
