Very dissapointing. My mother had flown over today, she was very tired and hungry. I decided to take her to a nice dinner and try out this restaurant. We went by a couple hours in advance but the lady said we didn't need to book we could just come over. Ok, so at about 7pm we came and got a table outside in the sun. We sat outside in the summersun and waited for a waiter to come over to bring a menucard and make an order for some drinks.
After 25 minutes of waiting we signalled a waiter to come to us because it was long and we were hungry and thirsty. He didn't come but he looked at us and did some gesture with his hand. 5 min later he passed by again and we signalled again and called him over but he didn't even make eyecontact with us and ignored us. This was the boilingpoint and so after half an hour of sitting in the sun without a drink or even a menucard and being totally ignored we felt insulted and just left.
Imagine we had waited there, maybe after 40 minutes or more we would have gotten someone to come over so we could ask a menucard. Then wait 40 more minutes for someone to come take our actual order? And what then, 40 more minutes to wait for the actual food? No, this was very rude and on our first day of holidays we had no energy to invest in this lengthy nonsense. We do not recommend as the service is lacking. All Irish tables were being catered to but we as foreigners...
Read moreA Long term customer, usually served lovely food by the amazing Emma but it has obviously changed ownership because myself & parents & 2 kids went last Wednesday, where we were "served" after waiting 30mins, by an absolute ignoramous of a woman who took our order, after another long wait when we eventually got the food ,2 of the orders were wrong & the rest was inedible, burnt on outside cold on inside, when we told her she said "well ya ate half". She also tried to charge 4 elderley ladies who were there for 8 bottles of wine, they argued for 30mins with her that they'd had 4 not 8. This was why we had to wait to wait so long for our order to be taken. She gave us no cutlery , we had to source our own and after 45mins when she eventually stopped arguing with the elderly ladies & took down our drinks with no ice for the adults and the 2 kids drinks filled to overflowing with no straws, we were afraid to actually ask for a straw because of her manner. The toilets are stinking I'd use a public toilet quicker. Don't waste your time or money in this dive, I always overlooked the run down decor & filthy toilets because of the lovely food, drinks & prompt v friendly service but the ones running it now will run it...
