I'm sure the food here is top quality normally and I can appreciate that they were busy on Mother's Day but my experience was awful. I called in at 11am and ordered a breakfast box for my mother to collect and was told she could pick it up at 12. When she arrived they told her the order didn't exist. I called again and they told me they had forgotton to log my order even though I paid for it on the phone the first time. So the lady said to give her 10 minutes and it would be ready. My mother went back in 15 minutes later only to be told again that the order didnt exist. I called again and was informed there was a mix up again and it would be ready in a couple of minutes (which it wasn't). My mother was left waiting for over an hour past the arranged collection time for her food with the embarressment of going in multiple times, waiting in the que and being told there was no food ordered for her. When she finally got her food half of it was warm and half cold due to being sitting on the counter for 20 minutes that my mother was there. You would think that was bad enough. When she got the "Hot Breakfast Box" it was not as descriped. Half of the items where missing from what is in the description and most of the pancakes were burnt. Safe to say I will not be purchasing anything from Bowes Ryan Cafe Dundalk again...

I opted for a flat white, along with a full irish, which was pefect. The breakfast wasn't greasy, it was cooked perfecty and the egg was to my liking (runny) and my coffee to go was freshy grinded and definitely woke me up on my journey.
This place was recommended from a friend, and I will defintely rcommend to mine... the restaurant itself it stunning, the attention to detail (wall of flowers can't go unnoticed), to the fresh and appealing deli, I can't wait to get back here. Honestly, if people are complaining about this place, well then it's to your own misfortune, as there is nobody offering what they do and to this standard.
The place was quite busy, the morning off my visit and for me I'll happily wait through this, because it tells me that this place is going to be great. Obviously it has only recently opened, so have some patience towards the staff, they were friendly, chatting away for an early morning and make a pretty good flat white if you ask me.
10/10 - please get a shop up...
Read moreI take my teenage boys here for a treat for breakfast (crepes, pancakes, fry etc). They love the hot chocolates - although these have become expensive recently (E4.95) - not their fault, the price of cocoa has gone up
Sometimes I come with a friend for lunch. The food is good, lunch prices reasonable.
The cafe is under Tesco, so easy access via big car park. It is also on one level, so buggy and wheelchair accessible and toilets are next door (although sometimes there can be a short queue).
The staff are super nice and accommodating. Honestly, you get the impression they are glad to see you and want you to come back. 5 star staff!!
Pleasant surroundings but very open plan. No booths. Maybe turn down the backround music...
