Glendine Inn — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Kilkenny City

Worse place I've ever gone too. Our table was was dirty the floor underneath us was so dirty and for our high chair there's no wards for how dirty it was I actually took a video that's how bad it was. It was so greasy to touch and there was a Hugh black ball of dirt that looked like it was taken from a hoover. Food was disgusting and cold asked the the chef to put it in the microwave and he gave me dirty looks. Then they never gave me my chips or Yorkshire puddings, that I asked for, so I told the waitress and she came to me with a plate of chips tree Yorkshire pudding smashed in gravy absolutely soggy and freezing cold! Will definitely never eat here again. I came a year ago for a take away soup I had to wait 15 minutes for cold tick mushy soup so I thought nothing of it. Till my next and last visit.. staff are all over the place no one to assist you either I had high blood pressure leaving for sure!...

We booked a meal and a one night stay here for a family birthday. We had the best night ever. The food was amazing and the 5 children at the table were well catered for with homemade pizza and half portions from the adult menu. Our room was very comfortable, spotless clean and well equipped for our short stay. I will absolutely book this hotel again, it would be ideal for a girls shopping trip to Kilkenny and food and drinks back in the welcoming lounge. This little oasis is very reasonably priced and offers fantastic value for money. One thing that stands out here is the staff. They are the one thing that makes this lovely hotel so great. It is very evident that they love what they do. Nothing is a problem for them and the atmosphere is so relaxed and calm because of this great team. We will definitely be back....

The staff was lovely and friendly, with lovely newly renovated restrooms downstairs. The bar area is nice and spacious with lovely open fires, very relaxing and comfortable. However the food was awful, we ordered 'pasta with chicken' and 'pasta with prawns'. BOTH were swimming in a sea of white tasteless gloop! The prawns were awful tiny frozen things!!! The worst though was the BEDS!! We were in a twin room, a very basic room, grouting needs redoing, bathroom door didn't close! But OMG the beds!! The springs were literally protruding I swear I had bruises after sleeping on them, I couldn't sleep and ended up sleeping on TOP of my bedding to dull the pain of lying on the springs!
