The Boathouse Port St Mary — Restaurant in Port Saint Mary

We visited The Boathouse on Sunday for my husbands birthday lunch and it was just incredible. We haven't been since it changed hands, but we were so impressed - we will definitely be going regularly!!

We were offered a roast or a brunch menu. We chose the roast and had a choice of 3 meats, we opted for 2 different kinds each. It was all beautifully presented and even came with a little pot of cauliflower cheese and a mini jug of gravy each (which I failed to picture!). Clear plates all round and it was just as good as a home cooked roast, not like a standard restaurants batch cooked roast dinner.

There was a wide variety of desserts, we all had something different and all were just delicious!!!

We recently hosted a small gender-reveal party at the Boathouse, and it was absolutely perfect! Haydn and his team were an absolute dream to work with and the restaurant space itself is perfect.

We hosted around 30 guests at the restaurant, making use of the outside space for the reveal and a few drinks afterwards as it was such a nice day. We were able to set up at the venue with plenty of time before. Haydn went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We decorated the space, but in all honesty is a beautiful space so doesn't need much in terms of decor.

An uncommonly wonderful restaurant. We were suggested the Boathouse in Port St Mary by our innkeeper during a visit to Isle of Man in July. It was definitely the best overall dining experience that we had during our entire month long trip to Ireland, England and Man. We had nearly as good food a couple of other times, almost as nice a welcome once or twice - but the utter graciousness of the Hosts, of the serving staff, and the dining experience itself thru the amazing tastes that presented themselves on our plates was simply THE BEST !
