we took a 700g T-Bone with Puree + first course + cheesecake & ice cream. we brought our own wine from home. I'll start with the insane price - more then 800₪ including 10% tip. I don't mind paying a lot but I expect to get what I paid for. T-bone wasn't 700g for sure. max of 600g before cooking. Quality was fine but cooking level was insufficient. We ordered medium-rare and got some of it medium and some in blue. Meat was chewy and not that good. The desserts were disgusting. The cheesecake was extremely basic ("McDonalds style") and the ice cream was fine but I'm almost certain they don't make it themselves although they claim they do (feels like very commercial ice cream) The puree and first course were very tasty and this is pretty much the only reason why they didn't get a 2 star review. We brought our own wine bottle from home and the wine extraction fee was almost 70₪! (to open the bottle..), while the industry standard is usually not above 30₪.. The service was great in the start, but as we continued to the last course it degraded a bit. The atmosphere wasn't that great - we sat near the kitchen entrance and there was a lot of shouting and many waitresses chatted with each other. It didn't feel like a luxurious place, but rather a quick diner to fill our stomachs with. We also got a bit of a stomachache after leaving the store (we didn't eat anything unusual before that). That probably means the kitchen staff are not sanitary (and that probably explains why they dont have an...
Read moreCame only for the burger, due to it being published as "one of the best 10 burgers in Israel" that you see everywhere on the internet. The burger was good, but really nothing special. The problem is with the attitude of the staff - very arrogant and cold, and even rude in my opinion. We were 4 friends having burgers in the evening, and they probably didn't like us not "fitting" the "romantic" mood of the restaurant, and made us feel real uncomfortable (like when one of us took a photo of the wine menu to consult with a friend, the shift manager asked us rudely: "what do you think you are doing" as if we have committed a crime). The waitress also practically refused one of us' order, to have the burger made medium-well, and insisted it should be medium at max, or offered to order something else, which was unpleasant. Overall I did not find their (more expensive) beef-burger to be any better than the other good burgers around (Mozes, Avant Garde or even the cheaper BBB). Chips, were also really bad for a restaurant. 1/3 of the cup was like the leftovers, crumbles/little pieces of hard non-edible chips. The rest were small and less better than an average burgers restaurant. To sum up: Food was good but not as expected (not special, and pricier than average), service was okay but staff was rude and overall we felt uncomfortable. NOT a good place to go with friends for...
Read moreI really wanted to like the place and the food.. waited for a very long time to come and dine here.
Atmosphere: was good even with the covid19 situation.
Service: was professional but a bit slow.
Food: We had: 3 mains, 2 starters and 3 desserts. Cost was around 375 per person.
Mains where good, but the ribeye steak was kind of basic and not something that I didn't tasted before. Around 250 NIS per 350g steak is not cheap, I really expected better flavor and cut, I didn't tasted any dry ageing flavors at all - when I asked how many days this steak was aged for I was answered that it was a 28 days dry ageing - and sadly the taste was not there.
Starters where less then ok: "New York Windows" - sauce was wayyy too aggressive and not balanced well. The other starter "ribeye crust" was really bad.
Desserts: Cheesecake was good and a bit on the sour side. Cream brulee was too warm inside and runny. Pecan cake was tasty but a bit too hard instead of moist.
To sum it up: not sure if it's a certain night that we visited that was just ok, because we heard sooo many good things about this restaurant, but our personal feeling was ok and not more. And for the price we paid we expected more.
I hope that the owners will understand my review and I'm sorry if...
