We needed to find a strictly kosher meat restaurant that could also cater for a vegetarian and a gluten-free diner, which is difficult at the best of times, let alone in a foreign country with a language barrier. The first thing we noticed was that the menu looked promising for all 4 of us; next, the person in charge knew immediately what we meant when we asked if they can accommodate a gluten-free diner. Next, the waitress spoke excellent English and when we mentioned the gluten-free issue, she said, "ah, you're coeliac" - very reassuring. But of course the main reason for the 5 stars is actually the food, which was absolutely delicious, and the nice atmosphere and the wonderful service. My recent visit to Avi's Restaurant was unfortunately far from exceptional. Despite the glowing reviews, our experience was rather average, if not underwhelming.

The food, which had been hyped up, turned out to be merely okay. It lacked the promised burst of flavors and was somewhat bland. We found ourselves reaching for the salt and pepper shakers on the table to add some much-needed seasoning.

On a positive note, the staff at Avi's Restaurant were friendly and attentive, which did improve our overall experience to some extent.

While our visit may not have lived up to the high expectations set by previous reviews, it's possible that we just caught them on an off day. It's worth noting that the friendly service did leave a positive impression, even if the food fell short...

Sometimes you just have an experience that blows your mind and exceeds all of your expectations. Avi restaurant is a quaint restaurant that used to be a family business and still manages to uphold that same feeling.

The food was great, I had the Sea of Galilee Mullet with the arabic salad and some pita and it was delicious. Perfectly spiced and well made.

Above all else, what made this experience so extraordinary was the service. Noya our waitress was incredible, when they tell you stories about middle Eastern hospitality, this is the pinnacle of what they mean. Going above and beyond to help, is knowledgable and is extremely kind. An incredible human being and I'm so happy we went to eat there that evening. 100%...
