Waldschenke Kaltern — Restaurant in Überetsch-Unterland - Oltradige-Bassa Atesina

Mixed feeling. Pros: nice place, nice garden, very good view terrace over apple trees and vineyards, very good food. Cons: waited a lot, we did not get meny with clear prices upfront and it was a little pricey. We arrived very late, but we were still welcome out of conventional hours. The garden is really well maintaned, with a very nice terrace, which makes it a small pretty place. The food was also quite good, with different options. Problem is they did not had a normal menu, but we were told the food by the waiter and for that we could not check prices upfront (nor get an idea of size of the disheses, especially for kids). In the end, nice day, nice food and experience, but the total was on the "hi-range" wrt the type of location. I was expecting some 10-15%. MAybe a transparent menu would have helped, but the experience was good. We waited a lot for the food, but it is cooked on the spot and we were in a late hours, so cannot say this is...

Posto molto bello, curato con una vista incredibile. Cibo buono nulla di eccezionale comunque. Grossa pecca nel servizio, 40 minuti per portare le pietanze che mi ha costretto a chiedere spiegazioni e cosa più grave, bere la mia birra ormai calda. 17,90 per una cotoletta mi pare un po' eccessivo. Wir sind auf der Wanderung durch die Rastenbachklamm spontan eingekehrt. Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt abseits vom Ortskern. Nachdem wir vom Personal freundlich empfangen wurden setzten wir uns auf die Terrasse. Dort hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Ortschaft und die Obstanlagen.
