Miss Claudia, who was working there at the time, kindly gave me one—and refused to take any payment for it. That small gesture of kindness convinced me to stay for a drink, and I'm so glad I did.

We ended up meeting Mr. Andrea, the owner’s son, who was incredibly friendly and generous. He welcomed us warmly and even treated us to several shots on the house.
