Terra Mia Ristorante Braceria — Restaurant in Agnone

Excellent in all respects - food, service, and setting. Food was verging on one Michelin star; every dish carefully conceived, creative, perfectly cooked and presented, delicious and satisfying. Wine list diverse, interesting, with what looks to be many good bottles. We returned a second night because the food was so good and we rightly thought we would be able to have a completely different meal at the same level. “Braceria” is translated as “barbecue”, but it’s not what that would suggest to many North Americans - it’s even better. More like the fire grilled meats we had in Argentina. The lamb we had on the second night was brilliant, aromatic with smoke and its own wonderfulness. The starter, an eggplant croquette, and primo piatto, a filled pasta with shavings of truffle over it, were each wonderful too. Only good to say about this restaurant. Pleasant surprise! The restaurant is nice and the guys who work there are very professional and friendly. The proposals on the menu are appetizing and the wine list interesting, with many proposals from Molise countryside. Among the appetizers, I recommend the beef tartare with watermelon and cherry tomatoes: it was superb, fresh and delicate. Among the first courses: The stracciata button, chanterelle mushrooms and saffron, really excellent. Negative note: pity about the chanterelles which are a bit too savory (perhaps due to the preserve brine). For the meat: the cut. It's very soft. Finally, among the desserts, we opted for a re-edition of the homemade "cucciolone" and a very delicate ricotta...

Amaro ritorno presso Terra Mia Braceria. Nulla a che veder con la precedente esperienza ,purtroppo. Mezz’ora per prendere le ordinazioni(superati anche da tavoli sedutisi 10 minuti dopo di noi) Non appena finito di ordinare le portate è tornata la cameriera comunicando che alcune fossero terminate( il filetto… in una braceria….) Dopo “solo”45 minuti dall’ordine modificato arriva l’antipasto di uno dei commensali. Delle altre portate non se ne ha traccia. Dopo 1 ora e 15 dall’ordine sollecitiamo informazioni ,ma otteniamo 0 risposte. Intanto anche gli altri tavoli si lamentano delle tempistiche. Alle 14.40 la fame è passata, ma arrivano 3 portate. Uno ovviamente deve digiunare come penitenza di aver scelto questo posto per pranzare. Alle 15 facciamo notare ,a uno dei rari camerieri che passa nei dintorni ,la mancanza della tagliata da servire e chiediamo di non portarcela se non è già in preparazione. L’ennesimo sollecito funziona e arriva la carne dopo 5 minuti. Il cibo ,peraltro, è mediocre(risotto da evitare e carne non all’altezza di una braceria) Al conto non viene scontato nulla per il disservizio. Se per la proprietà questo è lo standard di servizio accettabile, noi non siamo della stessa idea. Sconsiglio a tutti di venire...
